Did anyone momentarily think... (end of film spoilers)

...when the Enterprise was in danger of being sucked into the Narada black hole, that there was a reset switch coming?

I had a brief 'oh no, surely not' moment when watching it, probably because any sort of end-of-film reset was the one thing I was dreading.

With all the plot holes in the movie. I was not surprised we didn't see a "kitchen sink" get sucked into the black hole. Seeing how R2D2 was in the film. haha

Yes. In fact, I was a bit disheartened because I didn't want to lose this crew, I had grown rather attached to them, and I thought it was about to reset, and then they escaped, and I was thrilled because there was no reset! :D

J.

I thought it myself for a few seconds, but luckily it was not to be. I may not like the movie, but I respected that it had the balls to seriously shake things up and I would have hated for it to have castrated itself.

I edid think that was where we were headed. I was almosty preparing myself to see the original Enterprise coming out the other side with the old sets and such. THAT would have been a fan-wank moment...

I did not momentarily think, I knew the reset button was coming and that was was why the destruction of Vulcan had less impact on me. I was kind of blahblah, get to the reset. As the credits rolled my one overwhelming thought was "WHERE IS MY GODDAMN RESET BUTTON?!?!" And then I got it. There wasn't going to be one. And Vulcan's fate really hit me hard.

It was interesting to say the least. I went into the film spoiler free other than hearing the words "alternate timeline". Well a gazillion eps across the franchise had led me believe all alternate timelines somehow end in a reset. Really, it blew me away.

Excellent stuff!!

nope. my first thought "how can they be that close to that and not already feeling it's effects. it was a huge rift created by so much red matter. millions of times more than the ones that destroyed vulcan. we saw what one drop of that thing could do, let alone an entire tub of it.

I also thought they were going to do that , but quickly thought about how I would have heard something about that here on the Trek BBS if they were going to do that!

A reset totally crossed my mind. Old Spock disappears, Vulcan comes back, Amanda isn't dead. It was like I quick flash in my head of possibilities. Then they broke free And I too thought of Vulcan being permanently gone. But im cool with it all. I really just enjoyed it all.

Yeah, sort of..but then realized in the end there wasn't gonna be one. Then thought: that was awesome. :D

I heard that if you saw Star Trek in Theaters you were supposed to wait till the end credits finished and then repeat...This is not my fathers Star Trek... 9875 times (about 3 weeks) you would get the reset button ending...
