Wow, that is definitely not how I expected her to be made part of the canon. When I saw Galaxy's Edge in the link, I assumed it was going to be one of the books or the comic.
I don't know if anyone is planning on watching it, but the Galaxy's Edge Freeform special is on tonight. I would watch it, but it's on at the same time as the NCIS: LA season premier, and that's one of my favorite shows, and definitely takes priority.

So did anyone watch the special?
And going by AFV it looks like at least some of their Galaxy's Edge tie-ins on the shows are going to be fairly unobtrusive. In that one there was one segment where Alfonso Ribeiro was in the audience, and the guy sitting next to him had a Salacious B. Crumb plush or puppet sitting on his shoulder. It was almost a little weird, because they never even acknowledged that it was there.

Disney is working on putting together car sized flying X-Wing drones that will fly over Galaxy's Edge during a special press event next month.
It's a shame this is just going to be one time thing, it would be amazing if they could have real ships flying overhead on a regular basis.
