Depp turned down Freddie Mercury biopic?

You are obviously not well versed in normal sexual relations. You think that "having sex" too many times is a bad thing? That explains a lot.

Try actually having sex with someone, then it won't seem so scary to you.

I think having sex outside of marriage is wrong but I don't judge people who do it. But having sex with strangers you only just meet consistently how ever is something that is something that I feel happy in judging. Especially if you kept doing it during the AIDS crisis when AIDS was all over the news.

Which documentary was that? The idiot's guide to AIDS? Yes, I should think you should watch that a few times

Channel 5 documentary about Freddy about how he began at the bottom and worked his way up. I guess you could call it the working mans guide to become successful and die of AIDS.

Hell  Oh dear you people are so quaint.

You make it sound like it's bad.

Try learning a thing or two. AIDS was FAR from being all over the news when Freddie Mercury contracted it.

Is that some kind of lame joke? That is pathetic. Grow up.

What people thinking other people will burn in hell because they had sex with some folks? Yes I think that attitude is bad, fucking stone age is more like it. Sex is a health issue sure, it's not a moral issue.

Well in the documentary one of the guys Freddy used to hang around with in gay clubs talked about how they were warned about AIDS and that it was on the news. Freddy didn't listen because he thought you get it from bad air. He wasn't the only one though.

Better then yours.

1: Putting your life needlsly in danger.
2: Having sex with so many different people that you don't know.
3: Being gay.

Three reasons why he's wants to break free right now.

Even if Depp did turn down the role, it wouldn't be news. Lots of roles in lots of movies are turned down by known actors all the time.

^ You're not alone.

That's precisely the point, public perception of it was at an alltime low in the mid eighties. It wasn't "all over the news" at all  You can't even be consistent from one point to the next.

I didn't tell a joke :vulcan: Did you just write the first thing that came into your mind then?

Thanks for making yourself look totally ignorant and backwards on this subject, now I don't have to bother doing it for you. :techman:

Where the hell did i contradict my self? It was all over the news and gay activists were warning to stop. His gay mate explicitly said that they ignored it because Freddy thought it was from bad air.

You can't even remember what you wrote.

Call me ignorant and backwards I won't care. Just has you won't care if i call moral less and decadent. Oh well. Your learn in the end like Freddy.

It WASN'T all over the news when he contracted it, jesus, how many times do I need to say it. Can't you read? People didn't understand, public perception was non existent. It had just started to emerge as a real threat around '85 when he likely contracted it and as your example succintly points out, people had no idea how you really catch it.

It was a bad mistake and a bad situation that lead to a lot of necessary deaths, but people like Freddie were clearly not aware of the reality of the threat.

Its the effect talking to you has, it deadens my brain somewhat, I do apologise.

Wow, how eloquent you are  OK assuming that sentence means what I think it does, what you mean that I will learn? Do you think i'm going to die of AIDS Stormrage? Is that your expert opinion? :rommie:

One of his partners explicitly said that that they were told by gay activists TO NOT GO to gay clubs, take drugs and have sex with random men.

Yeah blame it on me for your failing memory. If you get cancer blame it on the immigrants next.

What an idiot you area. It means that you are going to die in the end like Freddy and then be judged for all of your sins. Keep up! Oh wait. You got memory problems. Sorry didn't take to account your disability.

So fucking what? How is that "all over the news". Stop making shit up. As I have said about a billion times, public perception was very low regardless of what some random gay activists might have told him, according to his ex lover on some Channel 5 documentary.

Yeah blame it on me for your failing memory. If you get cancer blame it on the immigrants next.

:wtf: What on earth are you babbling about? What do immigrants have to with this? Are you bonkers?

What an idiot you area.

:guffaw: :guffaw: :guffaw:

Oh the irony.

Right, judgemental religious homophobe. Gotcha. :techman:

What a nice guy you are.

Don't diss Channel 5. They worked and spent millions leaving their sordid past and becoming the quality channel it now is. Oh and that part was a response to your public perception crap.

Yep. Alzheimer's in effect.

Right, judgemental religious homophobe. Gotcha. :techman:

Thanks for noticing. I always say be nice to everyone. No point of ruining their days on Earth when they are going to spend the rest of their lives in the afterlife burning in hell. Have fun while your here Mr Alzheimers

Oh the irony.

It's called proofreading and it's a sign of laziness. Nothing else.

Pingfah, walk away. You won't win. You know the expression about fighting the ignorant: they drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

slightly off topic but :guffaw:

some of that money was spent rebranding the channel from Channel 5 to five

maybe you have noticed it in top left corner of every program you watch on the channel

I think we forget: some people on this board are far too young to remember the AIDS crisis, many of them weren't born yet, or were just toddlers. For many of them, it's what they have learned in documentaries 20 years after the fact.

They don't remember the incorrect information that WAS spread on the news, because, truly, people didn't KNOW how it was spread...touch? Air? Fluid? No one was really sure.

20 years of hindsight can be pretty good.

And as far as Freddie "paying" for his "sins?" Doubt it. If there is a God and a Hell, God would rather have Freddie up in Heaven with him--he's to good a performer.

If God is truly God then he can create the best music in the world without the need for freddy.

Yes but it's still the fifth channel. I call ITV Channel 3 and Channel 4 Channel 4 when i could easily use Four and people would understand. The only channels I don't do this to is the BBC channels.

Yet he did.

God created Freddie for a reason. 'Cause he needs a good lead singer in heaven.

I don't think even God could sing like Freddie Mercury.

Well that God isn't God then. Remember the part with unlimited power to do what ever He wants?

Oh, noes, ya got me!

I guess I can only respond with: Can God create a rock to heavy for God to lift?

Madness!

Wait...another spiritual question, more related to the subject at hand: Can God create Rock to hard for God?

Rock and Roll!
