DeForest Kelley in Encounter at Farpoint

Actually, I think the episode I was referring to in "Star Trek" when Kelley seems to be overplaying how "southern" he is just a little bit is "This Side of Paradise". I think that's the one where he keeps rambling about some southern drink (I know I couldn't possibly spell it properly, so I won't even try), but I could be wrong. Anyway, even if he was a little over-the-top in that episode and in his scene in "Encounter at Farpoint", I can forgive him for it due to how much affection he's generated in countless other episodes.
 
I just loved the opportunity to see Dee, and as one of those who at the time, didn't want a 'new' Enterprise with crew, it made me start watching ..
 
Were there ever more pointless TNG characters?
Alexander the Great 'Annoyance'

Harry Mudd. Although a lovable rogue.

I found the klingons were a bit annoying but john Calicos and Campbell played them perfectly.

And the aide guy who turned out to be a klingon agent in the tribbles episode.

Three i can think of...
