Definite New Series/Limited Series with Patrick Stewart Returning

There's a fuzzy line between where the films end and TV begins by virtue of Alex Kurtzman and his merry band of Bad Robot minions who have used CBS as a way to extend their job security after the film franchise ran out of steam.
What a load of hot garbage.
CBS hired Alex Kurtzman. Alex Kurtzman didn't beg them for a job. But I don't expect the facts to sway the anti-Abrams crowd.
Exactly. Like him or not, Kurtzman got hired by CBS for his work.

Kurtzman has nothing to do with Bad Robot.
Also what was said before, CBS hired him, he didn't ask for it.

ST Picard is a perfect blend of TNG style and a fresh format that differs from brannon/braga, but injects a real modern television filming style.

I get it. So far, I think it looks they'll be successfully updating '90s-era Star Trek for the '20s.
I would be curious what stood out as such to you? I definitely got a 20s feel (the speakeasy gave it away) but perhaps I don't know the telltale signs of 90s Trek as well as I thought.

I like the trailer too, but I think it is a bit early to call the show a success.

Yeah, the first trailer for Beyond was pure garbage but the film itself exceeded most of my expectations and is probably my favorite Trek movie since FC. I have very warm feelings about the new series but I can't go solely on one trailer released months before the show itself premieres.

The first trailer with actual footage is rarely as good OR as bad as the finished product.
