Trip and Reed crawl through the ventilation shaft.

Reed: Are you sure this is the right direction?

An alarm goes off, a circular door closes in front of them. Trip and Malcolm are beamed out.

They beam into, the Enterprise Bridge, still crawling on the floor.

Meanwhile, Mayweather enters Launch bay One. Nobody is around.

    Mayweather: Captain? Hello? Hello?

Mayweather walks around and sees a breached bulkhead with electricity going through the circuitry.

ARCHER: Do you know how stupid that little stunt was? You could just as easily been transported out into space. You're senior officers. You're supposed to be setting an example for the rest of the crew.

ARCHER: I think Lt. Reed is old enough to make his own decisions. You've made it clear to me that you think discipline aboard Enterprise has gotten a little too lax. I'm beginning to agree with you. You're both restricted to quarters until further notice. Dismissed.

Trip and Reed turn to leave.

    Archer: Hold on.

    Trip and Reed stop.

Archer: Did you notice anything interesting when you were in there?

    PHLOX: He's dead, Captain.
(a little later, as we watch Travis being wheeled along on a gurney) The subcutaneous burns are consistent with an isolytic shock but I can't be certain until I perform a full postmortem. I'll keep you apprised.

Trip: It looks like he was trying to tap into the EPS grid when this relay overloaded.

ARCHER: Why the hell would he come down here during his off hours and start tampering with the power systems?
