But I think you might be right... It's screwed but hopefully not by a magnetic screwdriver...

Magnetic screwdrivers can damage a computer. but to be frank, the chance of that happening are insignificant unless you're deliberately drying to destroy the damn thing.

Virtual poker and virtual money ~ luckily But still not an excellent result!

My hubby is a computer guy; he fixes and/or builds pcs and laptops all flippin' day. I gave him a quick run down of what I read, and he said, of the top of his head: bad memory or bad cpu.

He suggests swapping the memory out (both, if there's more than one), and seeing how that works

PM me if you still have problems, and I will forward it to him; if you give him details, he can probably tell you exactly what's wrong and whether it's worth replacing or not.
