I dropped Flash a few months ago. The art is some of the very best out there, but the stories have just been dull.

The writing is why I dropped it as well. I was a fan of the book when Geoff Johns was the writer, but Francis Manapul has proven to be an amazing artist rather than writer. I'm not sure if he is still doing both duties?

So it's September, and that means it's the second anniversary of the New 52. DC is marking it the occasion with Villains Month. What titles is everyone picking up?

    Right now I'm thinking:

    Forever Evil
    Black Adam
The Rogues (Even though I dropped the Flash, I still love these guys)
    Joker
    Riddler
    Bane
    Two-Face
    Relic
    Mongul
    Black Hand
    Sinestro

I'll get Black Manta and Ocean Master for sure.

I'm going to hold out for $1 bins or the off chance DC collects them into an Omnibus like they did for all the #1 issues. Which I didn't get but this would feel like a story more or less if collected.

You're in luck: Amazon has a pre-order listing for a DC New 52 Villains Omnibus that is scheduled for release in December.

I haven't really looked but I don't plan on buying anything that's not by the regular creative team. I'll probably save a lot of money in September.

(If I hear something is amazing I'll give it a look.)

Dont have a problem with his identity being exposed, its not like he has any family left to go after. Ex girlfriends maybe but they havent been revealed in the Nu52 yet.

I can imagine you (even though I have no idea what you look like) standing outside your home threatening cats with this tome and shouting obscenities.

Except that don't most people know that Nightwing is the ex-Robin? If his identity gets exposed then Batman's does as well.

No, not really. It's public knowledge that Bruce Wayne is funding Batman Inc. The relationship between Bruce and Dick is slightly different in the New 52; Dick was much older (already in his late teens) when Bruce came into his life and he became Robin, so there wouldn't be years and years of Dick Grayson as Bruce's ward to raise suspicions. Because of that (age and brief duration of time), it would be easy for Bruce to argue that, since he was already funding Batman, that he recommended to Batman that he take on Dick as an agent for Batman Inc. due to his personal history. Bruce isn't really compromised any more than he was if Dick is outed as Nightwing.

Heads up to anyone out and about today. Don't leave your comics in your car. There have been reports of the 3D covers melting in the heat!

I saw those covers and thought "Lenticular Cover", I mention this to the 20yr old at the counter and he goes "what's a lenticular cover?". Fifteen minutes later a 50yr old gentleman comes in and goes, "Hey, these aren't 3-D, it's the return of lenticular covers". The kid is now really confused!! LOL!!
