I wasn't crazy about the 90's costume aesthetics back in the 90's. To boot, the clasp (I assume) that's holding the cape looks like ridiculous bow tie.

It's not a great design. I'll probably be skipping Earth 2...nothing about it really interests me any more, not that I was in the first place.

Preview of Batman Beyond Unlimited, which also features Justice League Beyond as well.

Dear DC, stop letting Jim Lee design things.

Dont mind her outfit except for the "R" on the kneecaps. Seems unneeded.

It's there so she knows which leg is the right one.

Of course, she didn't have an L so she thought it would be ok.

Oh it's only 4 issues? I thought it was an ongoing, disappointing.

Earth 2 WW design revealed. I don't like this design either...but understand the concept they're going for in this. This seems to be a "really dark" reality from what we've been told about it. It kind of reminds me of a cross between the Crime Syndicate of Amerika Quardian reality and that of Geoff Johns Titans Tomorrow alternate future reality where the Teen Titans took over in a dark future.

Spoilers for Justice League #6...really just a panel, but remember what I predicted a couple pages ago about either Batman or Aquaman stepping up to stop Darkseid? Well...looks like I was correct.

If so Geoff Johns is starting to become predictable.

Allright Jim Lee has a kneecap design fetish. Someone needs to club him in the head and tell him to use the eraser side of the pencil on his next design.

Or they could just let the artists who are actually working on the books design the characters.

Jim Lee though is the uber artist in charge and one of the co-creators of the New 52, so unfortunately we're going to have to live with these redesigns.

Sort of like Liefeld and pouches, belts, and shoulder pads?

Anyway, the appearance of a black Superman in AC #9 seems like it'll be interesting (I'm assuming he'll be an Earth 2 appearance, Elseworlds or something along those lines).

No DC pickups today, given nothing really came out.

I did buy the (non-DC) Donatello one-shot, and trade of Kevin Smith's Batman: Cacophony.

    Justice League #6. :)

Which was underwhelming. After issue #5 I was expecting something... bigger, but the defeat of Darkseid wasn't as epic as it should have/could have been.

The appearance of George W. Bush was unexpected; it hadn't occurred to me that five years ago would have been 2007.

I said "nothing really came out" not "nothing at all came out."

I bought Justice League 6, which was, as Allyn said, a bit underwhelming. I was only in for sure for the first arc anyway, so this was my last issue. I might have kept it going if it had impressed more.

Also picked up Batman Beyond Unlimited #1. Batman Beyond was the only DC book that I was buying pre-New52, so it's nice to have it back.

I haven't read Justice League yet, but the lack of other DC 52 comics meant I could pick up the first of the two-part Spidey/Human Torch cross-over. I know, I know ... no right-thinking individual should read the adventures of Amazing Spider-man and His Devilish Alternate Reality, but I can't resist Slott and those two characters. Comixology has Welcome to Tranquility in its 99 cent Hidden Gems sale, so I thought I'd try the first issue.

Gosh, the ending of the Darkseid story sure was abrupt. This was a very oddly paced six issue story. I feel like nothing happened forever, and just when it got interesting, it abruptly ended.
