Spoilers DC's Legends of Tomorrow - Season 4

I'm kind of amazed we haven't seen Booster Gold on Legends, he seems like the perfect character for it.

The movie division has been developing a Booster Gold script by Zack Stentz for Greg Berlanti to produce and possibly direct. It's in limbo after Justice League's lackluster performance, but maybe it'll go forward if Aquaman and/or Shazam! do well. So the character is evidently off-limits for TV. (It's the same reason Brandon Routh plays the Atom instead of Blue Beetle. He was going to be Ted Kord at first, but there was a BB movie in development, so....)

I was looking through the newly digitized old DC comics this week and saw references to a character named Waverider.
I checked the DC wiki, and there have actually been 2 human male timetravelers called Waverider, Matthew Ryder, and a different Matthew Ryder, and former Booster Gold, Micheal Jon Carter.

I think someone must have a lock on Booster and the Blue Beetle, which is why Adam Strange in Krypton is basically Booster and the Atom in the Arrowverse is Blue Beetle.

That would explain it. I vaguely remember talk of a BG movie, but I thought it fell apart ages ago.

You never can tell with movies in development. Sometimes a project can be in limbo for over a decade before it gets made, like the first Spider-Man movie.

The show the way it is now, is a massive improvement over Season 1. I enjoyed Season 1, but the Hawks were by far the weakest characters on the show, and their whole storyline with Vandal Savage wasn't much better.

For me, its the cast that makes (well, made) Legends of Tomorrow. I love the season 1 cast (the heroes at least, although as bad as he is Vandal Savage is still better then the Season 3 villain, and Hawkman was kind of crap I guess), and all the later additions just piss me off. In Season 2 we lose Rip, Snart and Hawkgirl and gain...fake Vixen and "Citizen Steel". That is the worst cast swap out of any show I've followed. As much as I think Season 2 of Legends is the second worst written CW show season after Arrow Season 4, its the cast changes that really killed Legends for me (especially now that Firestorm is gone, Mick is the only real draw for me on the show, since I'm neutral to Ray/Sara and hate or don't care for anyone else on the cast).

Also, responding to the conversation that isn't weeks old (I just noticed the post I'm responding to above is ancient:alienblush: ) I hope Booster Gold shows up somewhere. He's really a great character, and on Tv or in a movie I think he deserves another shot in live action.

There's more avenues than ever for comic book characters to show up in TV/Movie adaptations, so it's only a matter of time before Booster shows up. If the movie doesn't go ahead I wouldn't be surprised if he gets repurposed for a DCU series... after all what's one more series for Berlanti to produce ;)

According to the show guide on my TV, it's a special about the animated series/movie, and also a preview of the new season of Legends.
Ooh, I kinda hope it's something in the vein of Back to the Future Part II with the Legends travelling into a previous episode where they have to go about their mission while trying not to be noticed by their former selves.
It sounds like they will be interacting with themselves, so I'm wondering if it's an alternate timeline.

I think we must have posted at the same time, so just check out my post above yours.

Season 2 of "Legends of Tomorrow" is my favorite of the series, so far. I did enjoy Season 1. And I really enjoyed the first half of Season 3. But after the loss of Firestorm . . . it was difficult for me.

Yeah, my first assumption was that it would be the full City of Demons movie, like they did for Vixen, but it's only an hour, and the full movie is 90 minutes. It looks like the movie has only just come out on video or is about to, so I guess this is to promote its release and tie it into Constantine joining Legends.

Although the odd thing is, City of Demons is out of continuity with the NBC series and thus presumably with the Arrowverse version of Constantine. If anything, it seems to be in the same continuity as the Justice League Dark animated movie (and thus the larger animated DVD continuity based on The New 52). So it's a bit confusing to tie it in with the Legends Constantine.

So it turns out the Constantine special was mostly just a rerun of the first half of City of Demons from CW Seed, ending with a promo for the back half of the season coming soon on same, and with a few minutes of Legends interviews and promotion before the commercials. I think maybe there was one new animated scene at the beginning, or maybe I just forgot seeing it before. And they didn't touch on the continuity question in any way in the interview portions.

I had no idea it was possible to squeeze so much awesomeness into 2:23.

"I know a Swamp Thing." Heh. (Didn't the comics' Constantine debut in Swamp Thing?)

Aaaaa!! Puppet Stein is back and he's evil!!!
