I find these shows, particularly Legends, helps this old fart from becoming grumpy.
Four hours per week is a lot of time to invest. I'm reading up on quantum field theory and the standard model instead.
Indeed, speaking as a card-carrying member of AARP, I like to think that I'm getting sillier as I get older, and don't take things nearly as seriously as I used to.
And one of the nice things about the CW shows is that they do throw in Easter Eggs for us "old farts."
"Holy Nostalgia! It's the Shakespeare bust from the old Adam West show!"
Fair enough. No one has to watch silly TV (or any TV, really). But some of us old farts seek a break from such heavy reading (I'm usually up to my eyeballs in obscure historical manuscripts and monographs, so I'll take a few hours of silliness).
Ironically, one of the things that does me grumpy is when people don't take silliness seriously.
Not true. As a older person you think one would love a time travel show that gets to take you back in time to time periods you once lived in.
Not really, because seeing times that still feel recent in our memories portrayed as some remote, exotic past just makes us feel old. Either that, or we notice how inauthentic and exaggerated the portrayal is.
Hold up..... Legends won't be back untill april????
Time travel is not an exact science.
Although I doubt it's gonna be of any help here. Oh well, I'll just look for some other shows to watch
Don't worry. The great "Orville" is soon to return as will the decent "Discovery."
Yep, same as last year -- Black Lightning is taking its slot for the winter.
Not legally available in the Netherlands.
Haven't checked that one out yet. Might try it. Also working my way through Supergirl, so that's something.
Legends of Tomorrow returns Monday April 1st
April Fool's Day is an appropriate day for it...
Haha, that is perfect. I just wish it wasn't so far away.
