Oh god, please please tell me you're not talking about the Hawks and Vandal Savage, because they're the only ones who have actually left. Pretty much everyone else still pops up from time to time.
If they aren't a regular, they don't count. So, Rip Hunter (Season 1 version, not the shit head in Season 3) and Snart are the ones I miss. Also, Hawkgirl is still 1000x better then Steel or fake Vixen, but that admittedly doesn't make her a "good" character.
I'm not familiar with the comics version, but Zari is a great character, and really nice addition to the cast. Just the fact that she's one of (the?) first muslim superheroes on TV is a big plus for me.
As a fan of Captain Marvel, Adrianna was a big part of the Marvel Family stuff starting with the superb
52 weekly series (no connection to the New 52). So, yeah, the writers manage to fuck her up worse then they fucked up characters like Hourman (although the JSA overall is still the most fucked over DC comics thing ever done in a CW show). I get that they can't call her Isis, fine. But don't add an extra first name for no fucking reason, and at least put her in a similar costume. Something more modest then the normal costume is fine, but make it white and add some jewlery or something, instead they went with generic superhero jumpsuit #45657d. Plus, you know, she shares no backstory with any version of the comic character, and doesn't share the powers, either. Actually, being a hacker might just be as far from the point of the character as they could get.
This is completely wrong.
Well, I was only wrong about how long he'd do it. But, they completely ruined the character. He's now a complete asshat, and deserves to get his smug face punched in. Also, they definitely set his group up as a recurring obstacle, especially that dumbass female agent.
This season has done a ton of character development for Damian Dahrk, and turned him into one of the best villains in the Arrowverse.
He's a shit character who was only better then Vandal Savage because his actor is very good (and wasted in the role). He is the most generic magic villain I've seen in a non-kids TV show in a long, long time. He has no real motivation outside of WORLD DOMINATION, and his gimmick is being immortal and having magic. So, just a (presumably younger) Vandal Savage with magic tricks and a better actor. I am biased in that, before The Flash Season 4, Arrow Season 4 was the biggest pile of shit superhero show that has aired in my memory, and he was the main villain (although Felicity is who mostly ruined the season, not Dahrk). That said, he was the worst villain in LoT Season 2 by a huge margin.
Anyway, having seen the first episode, Mick and Stein sure were as good as always. Rip Hunter and his Time Bureau were so fucking bad I'm surprised I didn't break my TV. I was literally calling what would happen with them as I was watching, and I got it all right. Legends steal time ship, check. TB tries to fix Caesar, but their incompetence gets them caught, check. Rip lets the legends go for some vague reason while the idiot female agent complains, check. I felt like Nostradamus watching the TB scenes in this episode. So, it was both predictable and rage inducing.
I'll watch parts of other episodes, because watching this made me want to see more Mick and what Stein we get before he dies. Probably skip any scenes with fake Adrianna because fuck LoT and its writers that actively hate the source material (definitely skipping Episode 3, since I don't need to see her introduction if I'm ignoring any plot stuff with her), and any episode that seems like its time travel story sucks. But I definitely want more from the two good characters on the show, so I'll watch some more.
