Spoilers DC's Legends of Tomorrow - Season 3

We'll be getting a new group of villains this season which will include, a "non-human entity" as the big bad, a post-Gorilla City Grodd, and a resurrected Damian Dark as the group's leader. They're also working on trying to bring Constantine onto the show this season, which will also be focusing a lot on magic and the occult.
We'll be getting a possible appearance by Quentin Lance in episode five, a "bizzaro" version of Captain Cold, and a visit to Ray's childhood. This season they'll be dealing "anachronisms", which are people or things from one era appearing in another. The example they give in the article is Helen of Troy appearing in 1940s Hollywood, where she starts a studio war.

Hmm, let's see, who's a non-human archvillain associated with magic and the occult in the DC Universe? All I can think of is Dormammu, but he's Marvel.

Mordru is human, though -- "Homo magi," anyway, which is apparently a magic-using human subspecies. The producers spoke of the big bad being an "entity."

I think there are a few different versions of Mordru in the comics. The first link says he is an "energy being" and an "evil entity" from the planet Cilia.

Well, Trigon surely they'll keep for the up-coming Titans series.

There are quite a few demons in the DCU, from (obviously) Etrigan, to Neron, Lord Satanus, Blue Devil (yeah, he's a hero, but that's never stopped the DCW before), The First of the Fallen, Abaddon, the Demons Three, Azmodus, etc., etc..

TV Guide has put up a mini-feature with a bit of information about Kuasa's role in the new season:

They say she's a "water witch" with totem-based powers, which is consistent with her role in the second season of Vixen, in which she took possession of the Zambesi Water Totem, a sibling of the Anansi Totem used by the Vixens. So from her perspective, this is taking place after that. Ray was a participant in that story, so he has a history with Kuasa which I assume will come up in the show. Plus, of course, Amaya is her grandmother.

So, LoT is basically going "You think Vandal Savage was a bad villain? We can definitely top THAT! Bwah ha ha ha ha ha". Between Damian darhk and the random woman connected to worst LoT member, this is probably one of the weakest villain line ups in the Arrowverse (outside of Arrow Season 5 which will never be beat for having the worst villain, nothing is worse then its version of Prometheus).

So bad villains, no Arthur Darvill (or very little of him), and we still have to watch the lamer Vixen (and the other one is terrible, so that's saying something) every week while Captain Cold remains dead? At this point, I'll be tuning in for Heatwave, Dr. Stein and the faint hope that we'll see Vixen bite the dust.

Kuasa sounds like she could be interesting.

That was my thought, but Kai brings up a good point about Titans. Has Etrigan always been a hero?

Etrigan ain't a hero. Jason Blood is the hero there, but Etrigan is a really bad guy. He got the Spectre taken over by the fallen angel Azmodel to freeze Hell and release all the demons of hell on Earth once.

I know that the show hates Arthur Darvill and doesn't want to use him (but they'll keep Vixen because the universe is a cruel, unfair place) but assuming he's going to appear once or twice in the season I hope its with the Roman soldier we see in the trailer. No reason, that just seems like an appropriate time period for Darvill :shifty:

I was able to watch the Vixen "movie" last night, and I was wondering if they've said anything about how Kusa will pop up on Legends? Is she being resurrected or will she be a version from the past?

The announcements said she's a "water witch," so I assume we'll be picking her up after her apparent demise in the movie, still in possession of the Zambesi water totem.

In fact, I bet it'll turn out that when she appeared to be vaporized in the flames at the climax of season 2/the movie, she was actually being pulled out of the timeline. That would explain why there were no remains. Think about how much force Mari had to summon just to shatter the fire totem -- it'd be extremely hard to completely vaporize the water totem, even if it could be done to a human body. So it seems more likely that she was teleported/displaced in time.
