Spoilers DC's Legends of Tomorrow - Season 1

Production values get you nothing when the writing is as atrocious, and the people in charge as bad, as what Gotham has. Plus, I'd argue the talented actor thing. I haven't watched it in awhile, but as someone who thinks Stephen Amell is a legitimately good actor when he has good material, I'd say he definitely beats (just off the top of my head) Gotham's Gordon, Bullock, Penguin and Ridder in the acting department. But, in the end, Gotham's people don't understand any of the Batman characters at all. At least Arrow's crew used to understand Green Arrow. I mean, yeah, if I was forced to choose between watching Season 4 Arrow or Gotham, I'd choose Gotham, but that's not a compliment, its the (barely) lesser of two evils at this point. They may be mangling the Batman mythos over at Gotham, but at least they don't have Felicity :shifty:

That's not entirely true. Good production values give you good eye candy, and, when paired with really good actors, they can make a show at least reasonably fun to watch even with bad writing. Especially when, like Gotham, the bad writing usually isn't that apparent in any one episode - the dialogue and scene building is great, it's the long term plots and effects that are painfully stupid. And I don't want to say that every actor on Arrow is terrible just because Arrow is terrible - I haven't seen any of them in anything else, so maybe some of them are great in another context. But they're not in that context.

 I'll give Arrow a lot of crap, but I can't say that terrible acting was ever a complaint I had. I mean, some are weaker (Laurel probably being the weakest of the regular cast) but when they had good writing, the acting was solid.

I just got caught up with last week's episode. Was I the only one who thought of Northwind/the Feitherans when the werebirds were shown? For a second, I was super excited. That was probably just me. Super obscure Hawkman characters seem like something the show would do, though, which is why it had me going for a second.

Besides that, it was an ok episode, but the setting didn't interest me too much.

You're not the only one. From the teaser at the end of the previous episode with the brief glimpse of the bird creatures, my mind instantly flashed to the old Who's Who entry with Northwind.

Was I the only one who got the impression that Superman does exist in the Arrowverse and he looks like the Brandon Routh Superman from Ray's reaction to the bust in that trailer?

Yeah. They announced a month or two ago that she was going to be on.

I finally got caught up last week, and I am loving the show. These were aleardy some of my favorite characters on Arrow and Flash, and I think they've gotten even better here.

Legends rides on! Great trailer. I'm happy to see the other characters from the Arrowverse (Ra's, Nyssa and Talia) will be making new appearances.

That promo ^^ looks so cool... in fact its what I've been waiting for ever since they announced this show over a year ago.

About time.

(Pun intended. :D )

I have really been enjoying this show. But it does seem from this teaser that they finally are living up to its full potential. Much greater scope to the stories and time periods. Looks much more enjoyable than a certain movie I saw this weekend...

I missed the last two week's episodes and honestly I don't feel like this show has earned enough of my time to catch up. I wonder if I can watch Thursday's show without really missing anything.
