I guess the "Wentworth Miller has completed his work in the Arrowverse" headlines from about a month ago represented the end of him playing Leo in what I assume is a few Legends or Flash episodes.

The idea of a "time warp" effecting when Kryptonians arrive on Earth was explored on the Superboy series in the 90s. That show had 2 different 2 part episodes about Superboys on alternate Earths. In the second we see an older Kal-El played by Ron Ely. He said he became Superboy after the Second World War. On another Earth in the early 90s Superboy was just a small child whose ship landed in the jungle. Ely character(not named Superman because the producers did not have the rights to use the name) said a time warp across the different dimensions caused Karl-El's ship to arrive in different time period on each Earth. Some shared the arrival time as the main character who was in his early 20s, played by Gerard Christopher, but there was variety in locations the ship landed in too.

Right, which is where I got the thought from. And you can argue it goes back even further, which explains Earth 1 and Earth 2 in the comics. On Earth 2, Kal-L debuted in 1938. On Earth 1, it was years later. Both had Lois Lanes in their lives, and the cycle continues to this day.

I like to think Earth 1 will be the Earth as we perceive the Justice League, and there must be a Superman as the hero's hero.

Then you should watch How to Get Away with Murder.

The crossover was very entertaining and well done. Very sad to see Martin Stein (and Victor Garber) go, But the good-bye was very powerful.

Germany/Hitler won in the 40's. He conquered the world. There would be no US Military in 2017, it's all Nazi military.

ADDED: If you mean on Earth 1, which I didn't think about till after, it happened too fast for them to arrive.

I'm still watching Part 4, but I can't help but feel like the producers of the franchise - and especially Legends - ought not to have let it be known that Victor Garber was leaving because in doing so, they sort of 'neutered' the impact that Stein getting shot in Part 3 and telling Jax to let him go in Part 4 could've had. It was still emotional, but it could've had even more 'weight' if they hadn't telegraphed it by announcing Garber's exit.

Except Ra's isn't Nordic, is he? So if the majority of the League were Asians, they wouldn't have been integrated.

Was it ever covered in the show who agrees to what designation each earth is?
When they were on earth x and said they were from earth 1, it seemed weird to me that people understood exactly which earth that was.

Perhaps Caitlyn should legally change her name to Tora Olafsdottir and become Ice. :D

Cisco indicated that higher number Earths were (from his perspective) farther away. That could imply some geographic line of universes, though I don't know why they would consider one end of the line objectively the beginning rather than the end.

Zoom did indicate that Earth 1 was crucial to the structure of the multiverse, so there could be something to that Earth objectively being number 1.

I definitely meant Earth 1, and I can't buy into that. Our military would be able to respond to a threat like that in short order. The cops would have been on alert almost immediately, and someone would have called for backup. There would have been US soldiers repelling that invasion in under an hour. It's not like they had 100000 troops on the ground, and even if they did, they would have been met with FIERCE resistance almost immediately. To give you an idea, on 9/11, there were military planes in the air as the hijacked planes were hitting the twin towers. That night, there was a military presence in NYC. According to wiki, it took 8 minutes from finding out that Flight 93 had been hijacked to jets being ordered to get in the air.

What would have added an element to this would be if the US military DID respond, and were engaging with the Nazis, while our heroes engaged the evil metas and their dopplegangers (or gangbangers as Mick would say).

In the real world the Nazi's didn't have a problem using convoluted logic to include others that you would think would be excluded if it was politically expedient. The alliance with Japan being the most obvious example. The Nazis would be free to turn on these groups when their usefulness had been exhausted.

But they spent weeks setting up the idea that Martin was going to go home to his family. So we were expecting him to leave, we just weren't expecting him to die -- unless we're genre-savvy enough to remember that any strongly planted expectation in a work of fiction is likely to be subverted.

For myself, it did idly occur to me that they might kill Stein off, but I was sufficiently fooled into thinking that he'd probably just go back home like they kept saying he would.

In the comics, Ra's is Arabic, but the Arrowverse's Ra's, Matt Nable, was white, as was Liam Neeson's Ra's in Batman Begins. Both franchises treat "Ra's al Ghul" as a title for the head of the League of Assassins rather than a personal name, and in the Arrowverse, every holder of the title except Nyssa has been a white man. In addition to Nable's Ra's, we've seen Oliver Queen and Malcolm Merlyn hold the title, and we know that Damien Darhk vied for it. The only nonwhite male actor ever to play Ra's in live action is Alexander Siddig on Gotham, which is absolutely perfect casting and I wish the Arrowverse had chosen him instead of the mediocre Nable.

And remember that the Nazis were allied with Japan in WWII, and I think they were rather fond of people from India and Iran, who are the actual Aryans (even though they don't at all fit the Nazis' distorted definition of "Aryan" ethnicity). The swastika was a symbol of good luck in Indian culture for millennia before the Nazis coopted it.

Sarah looked genuinely sad when she realized Stein had died. Like, the look on her face made me want to choke up.

I'm not sure the last time she ever looked that sad on any of the shows.

I don't remember Oliver getting a divorce from Nyssa...

It would be funny if Oliver was acquitted of being the Green Arrow at the upcoming trial, but still lands in jail for bigamy :D

Was their marriage recognized under US law?

And is bigamy even still illegal?

Sorry to drag real world politics into this, but we've had actual armed Nazis on the streets of the US just recently - fighting some "peace and justice" types no less - and the army/police did jack shit.

The cops of Central City do seem a bit more stand-up though, even if their mayor recently turned out to be corrupt. But they do seem to know to let the Flash and Co (plus the Metahuman Task Force, if Joe is still keeping up that fiction) handle stuff.

If you're talking about the first amendment protests, that's not the same thing as a foreign invader entering the country, as depicted in this episode.

This incident would not have even been a police thing. The US military would have been involved. They were killing people.

Those "protests" as you so tellingly put it (newsflash: it's not rising again, mate. Either the South or the Reich) DID kill people. Car, crowd, remember?
