It's right up there with how everyone seems to think that Kylo Ren saying "Kill the past" is some big message when it's just what HE thinks.

People find messages in different things. It doesn't make it unassailable.

Patty Jenkins revealed in an interview that she has plans for Wonder Woman 3:

“I have pretty clear plans for Wonder Woman 3,” Jenkins said. “Whether I [direct] it or not, I see how her arc should end in my incarnation of Wonder Woman. I have great passion for that.”

Friendly suggestion - maybe this specific thread is unneeded? Just threads on specific films.

As of right now Wonder Woman 1984, Birds of Prey( etc, etc Harley Quinn, I like the title but and too lazy to type or remember the exact words ) , and the Joker film are actually in production. Shazam! will be released in 2 months.

Beyond those everything else is pure conjecture. Studios announce films in development that do not always make it to the screen. It happens all the time. An Aquaman sequel is almost a sure thing. But nothing has been officially announced yet.

Usually casting announcements, actual official announcements not just online rumors, are the sign that something is going into production. Usually! Nicholas Cage in Tim Burton’s Superman almost happened. George Miller’s Justice League Movie too.

I generally like most of Marvel’s movies even though I grew up reading DC. It’s so petty to get into online feuds like they are Political Parties. There is very little DC publishes anymore I like. Even though I admire what Marvel has accomplished in movies, I rarely watch them again. It’s like watching a long running tv series out of habit than loyalty or even great excitement. I like the individual hero solo movies much more than the actual Avengers crossover events. Same for DC films. That was always the case when I read comics too. Crossovers usually are very gimmicky to show off all the characters existing together.

I think we DO need this thread... the problem is , at least with the DC Film Universe... they keep switching what movies will or will not get made... directors (at least for the Flash) keep getting dropped.

I have mildly searched the internet for an up-to-date comic book movie calender.... the last one had Green Lantern, Flash and i think Cyborg for 2020....we are almost there...what does the next few years look like?

Also, i NEVER got a final answer for the old thread, as to what movies REALLY are coming out between now and the end of 2020.

Wonder Woman 1984 - Releasing 5.6.2020

The strongest rumors so far for movies likely to enter production are The Harley Quinn Girl Gang Movie a.k.a. possibly Birds of Prey, which should start shooting early next year, The Flash, rumored to no longer be based on Flashpoint, and Batman, with or without Batfleck. If any of those (or perhaps some of the other 20 announced to be in development ) are hoping to hit the theaters in 2020 we should start hearing some more concrete stuff about them within the next few months.

Aquaman, Shazam and Wonder WOman are definites.

Is Joker really happening? SHouldnt they have wrapped up filming by now?

Birds of Prey -- also, is it REALLY happening? Or a lot of credible sounding talk that might not actually be?

Batman doens't seem definite, especially with Affleck's issues.

And what happened to Flash (2 directors dropping out!), Cyborg (supposedly 2020), and the Green Lantern Corps??

And way back when, Justice League 2 was supposed to be out there...

I haven't seen any new pictures from the set of Joker in a while, so I'm thinking they must be done.
Birds of Prey and the Fantablous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn began filming on the 15th according to Wikipedia, which cites a Screen Rant story about a post from the girl playing Cassandra Caine.
We've seen more than enough stuff from Wonder Woman 1984 to know that it is definitely happening.
Not sure about any of the others.
