DC Movies - To Infinity and Beyond

Is this the first Robert Patrick has shown up in a MCU or DCEU series or movie?

In live-action, yes, but he's done guest roles in Superman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, The Batman (as Hawkman), and Ultimate Spider-Man (as the Golden Age speedster the Whizzer).

I think most people thought that there was no way that WW84 wasn't going to move, its basically been the last hold out in its spot. I'd bet on it just going to next summer, although releasing digitally would be preferable because I just kind of want DC to move on from it, because it feels like the more they delay it the more they then delay The Suicide Squad, and thats the DC film that I actually want to see at this point, so I hope they just shove WW84 to HBOMax and move on.

They're not going to just shove WW84 onto HBOMax, it's going to be in theaters no matter what, just a matter of how much of a run it gets before it goes to HBOMax.

I meant doing the second option mentioned, a Christmas release that moves into a HBO Max fairly quickly, I know they wouldn't do a direct to HBO max thing (even though thats about all the film deserves).

Since HBO Max is only available in North America, I'm not sure what the plan would be for other countries. Release it in theaters where open, licence it to other streaming services where theaters are closed?! Hm. I do want to see it in the theater, though.

Anyway, since the movies are firmly in "Omniverse" mode, already, and the Keanussance is unstoppable, a Constantine sequel is in the works.

I'm fine with that. I'm inclined to agree with the consensus that's grown up around that film, which is that it's a poor Constantine adaptation but a pretty good horror movie in its own right.

I'm not sure you even need to invoke any sort of cinematic multiverse thingy here, though, since it's not an alternate version of a character like Batman or the Joker who appears in the main continuity; it's a concept that can stand totally apart and just be approached as a horror movie rather than a DC superhero movie.

Yeah, it really does look like it's going to be awesome. I'm really looking forward to it, it should be a great start to getting big movies back in theaters.

I fully support keeping movies out of theaters until things are safer, especially in the US. I personally am not going to spend money to watch Wonder Woman 84, but even if it was a movie I actually want to see I would not be seeing it in theater anytime in the next year or so, and that's even assuming we get progress on the whole pandemic thing fairly soon.

I generally just want WB to release Wonder Woman 84 in whatever way gets it over and done with quicker, so that it doesn't keep bottlenecking the films they have coming out.

Apparently Sylvester Stallone is also in The Suicide Squad.

Robert Patrick has joined the Peacemaker HBO Max series.

I'd like to think Stallone is playing General Rock.

I was thinking he might be playing Rick Flagg Sr. He's definitely old enough to be Joel Kinnaman's father, although I don't know if they've mentioned if Flagg's father was dead or not.

Looks like fun.

I like it that they have Michael Jai White reprising his Arrowverse role as Bronze Tiger. And of course Kelly Hu's voice is always welcome.

Not sold on David Giuntoli as Batman. I found him extremely bland on Grimm. But then, I found Jensen Ackles bland on Smallville and Supernatural, but he was terrific as Jason Todd in Under the Red Hood.

And it's amusing that the lead couple from Grimm are now playing Batman and Lois Lane.
