And how do you know all this? From watching your TV? As an American living in Europe/Germany I am MUCH happier that I am HERE vs the USA right now. As @Kai "the spy" says people here wear the mask without all the drama. There are some hot spots in Europe like Paris and the Riviera right now but I would not call it the "second wave" just yet. Asia has been wearing the mask for 30 years during flu season and when they travel. It is part of the culture already there and as you point out THEY have been successful..........so just a coincidence?

Yes, naturally, but there's a growing consensus that universal mask use in conjunction with social distancing, handwashing, and good ventilation is a vital and powerful part of containment. There have been so many big public protest rallies lately, but contrary to the lies in right-wing media, they haven't produced outbreaks because the participants were outdoors, masked, and distancing. Whereas events like the Sturges bike rally, where people didn't wear masks or take other precautions, have led to major outbreaks. Of course masks aren't magic talismans, but there's no disputing that they're a valuable tool when used properly.

  • Weekly doubling in the UK: The number of UK coronavirus cases is doubling about every seven days, chief scientific advisor Patrick Vallance said, emphasizing that the measure was approximate. That would result in about 50,000 new cases per day by the end of October and more than 200 deaths per day by November, he said.

Right, so now for the discussion here, as well: The Suicide Squad spin-off Peacemaker series starring John Cena lands on HBO Max.

Eight episodes all to be written by James Gunn, production is scheduled to begin in early 2021.

Also, Zack Snyder will film new scenes for the Snyder Cut, after all. Affleck, Gadot and Cavill will all come back to film additional scenes, as well as *gasp* Ray Fisher!
 
Huh? How does a character from a movie that hasn't even come out yet get a spinoff? Let alone such an obscure character? Or is this Cena guy such a huge star that it's more about him than the character?
 
James Gunn said he got bored during lockdown and wrote all 10 episodes. I am just assuming HBO liked the scripts and what footage they were shown of him from the movie,

I do not follow wrestling at all. But he seems to be a big name. Bigger than Batista who Gunn made a star of already.

I would guess the advantages of Peacemaker is the character is so obscure, there are no expectations at all. If this works they could strike gold. If not they will move on and it will be forgotten quickly.

James Gunn said on Twitter this does not affect the planned Guardians 3 production or release date. Usually he has off time between projects. This time he will have less.
