Oh, it certainly sounds weird. But, as I've said before, I've known people like that who will irrationally react to everything as a deliberate personal insult regardless of how it was intended. Individual irrationality seems a much more plausible answer than any kind of coordinated prank. I don't think that studios have that much imagination anyway, particularly in this day & age when no one can afford to have a sense of humor anymore. Even if it builds hype for the Snyder cut, it's still throwing mud onto Geoff Johns, who is still affiliated with Warner Bros. as a writer/producer on WW84 as well as several of the DC TV shows. And Joss Whedon still has some ties to the studio through HBO producing his new show The Nevers. I think the only one who isn't affiliated with Warner Bros. anymore is Jon Berg, who, last I heard, was developing something for Netflix. (Interesting then that Berg is the only one of the 3 who has commented publicly on the issue.)
