If you ask me, the fact that The Flash movie did it is a big reason for the new DCU to run the other direction as fast as they can.If you ask me the fact that Marvel has done it, and the Arrowverse did it is a big reason for the new DCU to not do it.
If you ask me the fact that the MCU, the Arrowverse, and the DCEU did the whole multiversal crossover with past actors thing a big reason for the new DCU to not do it. If they're smart they'll try to find a way to do different things and establish their own identity, rather than just repeat what other superhero productions already did.
Also, it sucked.Yeah, they're making it clear they want this to be different from the DCEU, so doing the same thing the DCEU just did in it's last movies is not going to do that.
Carter may not be the world’s premier thespian, but she was perfectly cast as Wonder Woman. The same can be said for Gadot. Diana may not have seen as many live-action interpretations as some other superheroes, but so far she’s batting a thousand on casting.
ETA: Oops, I forgot about Cathy Lee Crosby. Well, maybe not a thousand, then.
I'm in! Will there be intermissions?![]()
If that's the final runtime then I'm out.
I'm trying to think who in DC comics continuity might have lived three hundred years ago. It's pretty likely that Gunn had some character in mind when referencing that period of time. One of things mentioned in the two EW articles about Superman that I thought was interesting is that in this world superheroes have been around for 300 years, which makes me wonder if they have ideas for stuff set that far back. It'll be interesting to see a world where superheroes are that well established, since almost every other adaptation has them as a relatively recent thing.
Outside of historical heroes, I'm drawing a blank.I'm trying to think who in DC comics continuity might have lived three hundred years ago. It's pretty likely that Gunn had some character in mind when referencing that period of time.
