Sometimes I wish all the companies would just merge.
What a bizarre response coming form someone whose vocation is writing fiction, which a fundemental part of a successful career is writing characters with DIFFERENT points of view....and a science fiction writer should probably have even MORE of an imgaination than most. That's what they want you to wish. A monopoly would only benefit its billionaire owners and would be terrible for employees and consumers. There'd be less competition between companies, so they'd have less incentive to keep prices down and quality high. With fewer outlets, there'd be fewer places for creators to get hired by or sell their work to, and there'd be less product created overall. And there'd be less variety in the work that did come out. I can't imagine a single advantage to anyone except the fat cats in the board room.
Would it be fair or unfair to say that maybe many of those views for the first video were due to people looking it up to compare to the latest video? In the interest of fairness, internet traffic overall has increased dramatically in the intervening decade or so. In the interest of fairness.
(Clearly the new one is more popular by a wide margin. Just thought I’d…anticipate…potential rebuttals.)
I think it's a good point, that many major companies are arguing.... that what USED to be strong successful companies that, while still "big", are still losing enough money to competition that they need to merge. Why not, considering WBD and Paramount are still losing money due to their debts?

Trump May Increase Opportunity for ‘Needed’ Industry Consolidation, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav Says
Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav expressed hope President-elect Donald Trump will put policies in place that would ease media consolidation.variety.com
The founders and CEOs of big tech and Hollywood companies are optimistic about the removal of anti-monopoly laws or making things easier than they used to be, so why not?
Also, I don't think Jeff Bezos and David Zaslav support Trump for nothing.

So unless your characters are one dimensional and stereotypes, you should have SOME understanding of different points of view. (though of course not necessarily agreement)

Then again, they're also not talking about the heat generated by negative reactions to a recent screening of the Gunn Superman film, which some (probably shills) have gone overboard to claim were not true reactions.
Let's not panic. Has he ever admitted to being wrong? I mean, he points out when WE are wrong in apparently misinterpreting what he said, though someone else usually chimes in that they do NOT see things the hypotetical way, ut rather the other person.
Topic, please? ALL parties. If this is the person I think it is, then I stopped posting on the board for a few years as they'd made it a less enjoyable place to be. My opinion, whatever it was, would undoubtedly be wrong and theirs would be right.
I'm not saying this isn't true, but I'm starting to not trust those kind of early reactions, because it seems like there have been a lot of movies lately that have had spectacular early reactions, with people calling them one of the best ___ movies ever and things like that, and then when they come out the overall reaction is almost the complete opposite. It says much that some (not meaning you) cannot let their obsessive hate of an old film go, instead of talking about the one that's supposed to be their dream come true--one of the subjects of this thread. Then again, they're also not talking about the heat generated by negative reactions to a recent screening of the Gunn Superman film, which some (probably shills) have gone overboard to claim were not true reactions.

If there are negative reactions to the screening, its probably worth discussing.
Besides, no matter how good or bad a movie is generally seen as, we have people that love the bad ones, people that hate the good ones.
Everything has reshoots. That is not inherently a negative thing.with its numerous re-shoots
"Numerous reshoots" also is not a "thing" that's happening with Superman.Everything has reshoots. That is not inherently a negative thing.
Last month Gunn said they were doing a day and a half of pickup shots. Which I assume is a different that reshoots.Everything has reshoots. That is not inherently a negative thing.
“Sort of. Not a few days. We’re doing a day and a half of pickup shots. No scenes. No reshoots. Just a handful of individual shots to enhance the film,” Gunn shared on Threads.
Everything has reshoots. That is not inherently a negative thing.
Aren't you Cap 4's biggest booster? The number of re-shoots--especially after test screenings--poured fuel on the fire of negative perceptions about Cap 4.
