DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

It might be enhanced or upscaled, but I've compared it to another from the same shoot and it's certainly originally a photograph of Corenswet in costume.
Oh, I don't doubt that. I just dislike this "trend" ( if that's even the right word ) where apparently real photos are given the AI treatment and they end up looking goofy in that way.

Why do you not see the correlation? A performance is more likely to be good if the actor is challenging himself to do better. How is that not obvious?
Because plenty of actors have given absolutely fantastic performances where they were just having fun, and not "challenging themselves". If anything I would think an actor would be more likely to give a better performance when they're working their comfort zone, instead of pushing themselves. If they're comfortable they're doing what they do best and know how to do, but if they pushing themselves they're more likely to get in over their head and find themselves in a role they can't handle.
My theory is that since Joker 2 bombed so bad, Zaslav is NOT willing to risk another Elseworld movie. He wants momentum to make lots of money. He hopefully saw and understood the failure of The Flash and Aquaman 2.

I personally think they are trying to hold off of anything until they see the results of Superman. If it does poorly, they will go ahead and continue its independent theme, of just Batman within his universe. If SUperman does well, i think they will restructure it to be inserted into the new DCOU.

With Supergirl, so does it seem like they will have the casting all done by the time Superman comes out? And maybe the script? If so, i can see them announcing Supergirl to be the next big production after Superman, with an announcement of Batman 2 relatively soon after.
They've already announced The Brave and The Bold which will be introducing the DCU Batman, who will not be Batinson.

Here's the IG post from Momoa's IG page with the Supergirl script

It stops before he actually opens the script, so if you're hoping to get a glimpse of the script's content, you're out of luck.

It's a meaningless, time-wasting controversy delimited by oversimplifications. Actors are workers as well as artists. If they have the choice of what work to do, let them do whatever they want to do and what they as individuals are moved to pursue. The judgment of strangers is trivially unimportant.

Phrases like "pushing outside their comfort zone" are nothing but cant, delivered from the imaginary 30,000 foot view afforded by distant, superficial observation.

David Harbour has a very dry sense of humor and has written, directed and starred in the short film "Frankenstein's Monster's Monster, Frankenstein". So, voicing Eric Frankenstein on Creature Commandos is very much in his comfort zone. But, man, is it a great performance.

Does it not come across well through text alone?

You know, if somebody hypothetically had you on 'Ignore', they'd be thinking @JD was responding to me, and reading my statement back through the sarcasm lense makes it sound like David Harbour does a really shitty job on Creature Commandos.

Sean Gunn was interviewed for the latest episode of the DC Studios Showcase podcast, and he confirmed that Weasel's backstory had been planned for a long time. By his account, James told him during the shooting of The Suicide Squad that Weasel had not really killed those children, and when they first talked about doing Creature Commandos, he was given the detailed backstory.

I am pretty sure it's only the "hypothetical" person who won't get the jokes. Because it doesn't come across through text. Sometimes emoji don't even work. [Sarcasm] Maybe we should try coding? [/sarcasm]

I have no doubt of hyperbole here, as I have seen it with Shazam, or Trek God talking about ciritics of the Snyder DC Film Universe -- where people like myself have had criticisms of CERTAIN aspects, but are NOT the extreme haters he keeps saying are making those criticisms.

It would be too easy to copy+paste the hundreds of hostile posts about Snyder as a person, the films, etc, but that would fill the next 70 pages of this thread...which should be about Gunn's movie, yet the usual suspects could not stop bitching about Snyder and his DC films. That is obsessive hatred, yet they pretend they are not going on and on about it at all. Not hyperbole in the slightest.

Regarding SUpergirl -- i am wondering.... could Zaslav potentially "Batgirl" the Supergirl Movie if Superman tanks? I know much of the Supergirl budget will go to special effects and PR.... which could potnetially stop if Superman tanks. Not sure how much they would lose at that point., but like Batgirl , maybe less of a loss if they do the tax write off than if they try to launch it and it fails.

Its highly possible from a business standpoint for Zaslav to drop the Supergirl film if Gunn's Superman film is a colossal flop or underperforms in all territories. If the parent film fails to capture a significant audience, it would be foolish to continue to invest in what is more or less a spin-off.

I think this was a fan effort. But yeah, annoying at times.

I'm pretty sure I am on this "hypothetical" person's ignore list since none of my quotes of this person's post have been answered to after I called their "hypothetical" attitude out about a year ago.

Welcome to the club. I first noticed it when he was correcting people in Britain about British accents in Doctor Who and he didn’t reply to my pointing out that Graham was a cockney.

I thought i was too, but he apparently replied to something recently.

Also, it could be if he is completely "defeated" he won't acknowledge it out of pride. We'll see if he responds now? ;)

Has he ever admitted to being wrong? I mean, he points out when WE are wrong in apparently misinterpreting what he said, though someone else usually chimes in that they do NOT see things the hypotetical way, ut rather the other person.

If this is the person I think it is, then I stopped posting on the board for a few years as they'd made it a less enjoyable place to be. My opinion, whatever it was, would undoubtedly be wrong and theirs would be right.
