Daytripping To Europe?

I like the idea of TV screens for windows...just put a pinhole camera on the outside to feed the TV screen on the inside.

It'd use a system similar to the proposed "cloaking" technology they are testing, where tiny screens project what cameras on the opposite side of the object are seeing.

My question though concerning the route from Brussels to Australia is, the flight path over the North Pole. Specifically, taking into account the rotation of the Earth. Even still with a 5 hour flight time, the Earth is rotating toward you in a sense. Which would actually cut the arc more narrowly, but then again on the return trip the arc would be quite a bit broader.

And because this would be a supersonic flight, they'd wanna traverse the Bering Strait instead of coming over Alaska or the Kamkatka area of far east Russia.

SST

There was a time in America when 'They'd' say... 'hey we can do that on 3-4 years, 5max'.

Not to rain on anyones parade but 25years??? Come on people... (btw this isn't a diss on the EU either).

New Zealand to London in six hours?

Environmentally friendly hypersonic jet that travels at 5 times the speed of sound? Gotta get me one of them.

Shame we may have to wait 25 years.

According to this thread it only takes 4 and a half hours from london to Australia, why is it taking an extra 1 and a half hours to get to New Zealand?
He said New Zealand to London -- the last hour and a half is when you're stacked up over Heathrow, waiting for clearance to land. ;)
