Ok I saw Equilibrium and I thought it was really good. I loved how everyone is forced to take a chemical.

What kind of world do we see in 'Sky Captain'?

I'm going to try and watch Sky Captain as soon as I can!

Well, Bale's character was emotional because he went undercover with the resistance, and Father was emotional because he was running things and therefore could break the rules (plus, he wanted to think like the resistance to outsmart them), but I don't recall Diggs having any reason to display emotions. He was still dosing regularly from what I remember, and was not undercover, so he didn't need to be emotional.

I just think his extreme ambition and anger got the better of him and overcame the effects of the drug. That could have been a deliberate choice on the director's part and indicate that the drug is not as effective as they think and only dampens emotions rather than eliminates them outright (for that matter, it might even have something of a placebo effect and it's the people themselves who are suppressing their own emotions to blend in).

Wow, nice insight there!

ReadyAndWilling, do you remember a few weeks ago, when I closed a thread of yours, told you not to use the BBS as a search engine, and gave you an infraction for spamming?

Now that you've bumped another one of these threads asking people to do your research for you, and posted five times in a row, you have another such infraction.
