Yeah like all those other normal actors out there - because of course actors are never eccentric, extroverted or camp normally....

Well despite his well paying job, super model girlfriend and lead role in one of the most popula shows on TV I'm sure your comments would really hurt him...

Well, in his defense, Silent Bob does have a point. Smith is not conventionally attractive. However, after "heart-throb" Tennant, I'm hoping his unconventional looks adds to an unconventional Doctor, you know?
I can handle unattractive actors, im straight, i dont watch Doctor Who for eye candy. I suppose id be more forgiving of his looks if he was a decent actor, but if Moses Jones is anything to go by, he doesnt even have that going for him.
But still i'll give him a chance, if only for a few episodes. Maybe he'll surprise me. Afterall i was unsure about David Tennant since all id seen him in was Casanova, and he turned out to be 'My Doctor'.

Agreed. It's kinda nice to have another odd and unusual-looking Doctor again like Troughton or Baker. I love Tennant, but he was probably a little too... cute somehow.
And as far as the voice, there's no way Smith could be worse than McCoy and all his rolled R's, or Pertwee and that horrible lisp he had. lol
you know it could be fun to have two Matt Smiths shows.

Actually, an actor's looks are very important for Doctor Who.
My gf thinks Tom Baker is absolutely hideous and because of that she hates my scarf and says every time I wear it, all she can see is TB and it's a turn off for her. So when we're out in public and some cute girl comes up and compliments me on it I just look at my gf and smile.

To be fair I could perfectly understand anyone dumping their other half if they copy Smith's current hairdo, but he IS an actor and they are a funny bunch by and large.
I found Tom Baker to look best for the part, on screen that is. But though havent gotten to see much of the later doctors except for 9 an 10.

Though im sure he look fine on the show, from the few clips ive seen of him, he seems ok. Though kind of too young, but im sure he will hit the wall soon.
I just feel if you just landed a major part in your career of acting, stop dressing like a dam art student, throw away the clothes you got from the Goodwill stores, cut your dam hair you arent homeless, and take those dam earwings out, you look like a dam drug up alien.
Dam i just hope whom ever his companion is, i hope she is hotter than hell.

It's close to 18 feet now. It's stretched a bit since it was made.
