David Warner

Somewhere I thought I read that he wasn't real fond of his association with Tron. Anyone know if that's true or not?

^ I highly doubt it. Warner seemed to be having a lot of fun playing Dillinger/Sark. There has never been any indication that he didn't enjoy it or wasn't happy about it.

And if he had been, he wouldn't be coming back for Tron 3, would he? ;)

He is? :O

I have to admit, I'm tickled by the idea of Sark terrorizing modern audiences to the tune of Daft Punk. I love their work in Legacy.

I felt that Doctor Who wasted him recently in what was a fun but rather throwaway role in "Cold War".

True, but I thought his performance was one of the best things in that episode (which also threw away the Ice Warriors BTW)

Has no one mentioned "the man with two brains" yet

Have you met my wife....pftfrrrrrrrrr (claps hands)

Two of my favorite Warner performances (aside from those already mentioned):

As Bob Cratchit in the George C. Scott version of A Christmas Carol

Voicing Ra's Al Ghul in Batman The Animated Series

There are not enough words to describe the man's awesomeness!

I LOVE his Ra's Al Ghul! It's still Warner's voice I hear whenever I read stories with that character.

Also, who doesn't love that moment where the Ultimate Evil in Time Bandits blasts away a minion and immediately follows it with a smiling, "I'm a reasonable man"? :guffaw:

I met him very briefly at a convention a few weeks ago ... it was my first convention so I was a bit wary of what to do.

Asked him for an autograph (a photo of Gorkon that I have framed on my shelf now), told him it was nice to meet him and he shook my hand.

Wish I'd thought to ask for a photo and had a proper conversation with him. Really nice guy, and certainly one of my favourite actors.
