Now that has possibilities! A story told from the Guardian's POV would definitely be interesting to read.

You'd want to avoid having it(the Guardian) read like that Loc Nar thing from the cartoon Heavy Metal, though. Keep it less pretentious and more dignified, y'know what I mean? But I'd read it-I love "the grand scale of things". In SNW#? there was a tale of the Hortas guarding the Guardian over many years that I really enjoyed-(Sorry, don't have it here, can't remember title/author)-and it was the covering of eons of storyline that grabbed me most. Crucible: Guardian could easily evoke that sense of great time passing...

I believe that the Guardian is, in its way, dignified...mysterious and dignified. There's a lot of story to be mined there, but I would certainly strive to avoid the obvious.

Whereas I've become convinced that the Guardian is either senile or dishonest -- or maybe just pathetically lonely and desperate to please. What kind of guardian actively invites people to tamper with the thing it's supposed to be guarding? Not to mention that it claims in "City" that it can only present the past on fast-forward, but then in "Yesteryear" is obligingly offering up specific dates and locations on demand.
