David R. George III

^ Heck, all the more reason to do it...

David, are you seriously considering doing this? I'm the most gullible person I know, and Lord knows sarcasm doesn't always travel well over the Internet...but if this is true, it's wonderful news for both you and your fans!

Have a good one!

Wouldn't Crucible: Keeler get Harlan Ellison's panties in another twist?

Well, if I recall correctly, Harlan was upset because he thought that the new movie was using the Guardian of Forever without his permission. Politely asking his permission would likely avoid unnecessary pantie twisting.

I wasn't being sarcastic, but strictly speaking, no, I'm not considering doing it because the opportunity to do so hasn't presented itself. I would consider it, though, under the appropriate circumstances.

Followed by Crucible: Mugato, Crucible: Horta (truly a suitably epic timescale for you), and, of course, because you'd just have to, Crucible: Tribbles.

Don't forget the truly dizzying Crucible: Guardian (not sarcastic) and (sarcastically) Crucible: Pakled (Time Flies Like an Arrow; Fruit Flies Like a Banana).

How about doing an installment about the people of Megas-tu in Salem? It could be a crossover between DRGIII's Crucible and Arthur Miller's The Crucible!

You could do like those "Ocean's" movies and just call it the 35th rule.

And that is ... "Peace is good for business." Hmm, easy to get those confused. :)

You never know. If DRG asked, maybe he'd be up for it.

As for Scotty, Uhura and the rest: I don't see how they could have their own novels, since they weren't involved with COTEOF at all.

Scotty and Uhura were on the landing party to the Guardian planet. There's a story in Strange New Worlds II, "Triptych" by Melissa Dickinson, that explores alternate attempts by Scotty and Uhura to go back in time and fix history after Kirk and Spock failed.

Anyway, I don't see why another Crucible trilogy would have to revolve around "City on the Edge." That was a pivotal event for Kirk, Spock, and McCoy, but maybe the pivotal, "crucible" event for the others would be something different.

^A certain fifth film perhaps? Scotty and Uhura had an interesting story there, but I like the idea of DRGIII using his "dash odf creativity."

How about Crucible: The Homo stealing Hobo[/b] ?

( I think the Canadians around here might get it. Not sure about the Americans and others) :)
