David Mack announces new Trek work on "Facebook"

As someone who just finished his re-read of Destiny this morning, I am thrilled beyond belief that David Mack will be writing another trilogy. I am really excited to hear what the story will be, and which characters will be featured.

It sounds like he's still working it out with the new editor; he mentioned that "current plans" are to feature the TNG crew, for instance, meaning that might change. Which is interesting.

Glad to hear that the John le Carré of TrekLit is has a trilogy on the way. :)

Oh FUCK yes.

I mean seriously people.

Four more books by Mack and two more by DRG3? I'll read ANYTHING they EVER write. I know DRG3 got shat on a bit for his choices with Sisko, but I loved Beasts as much as anything else of his.

This kicks ass. I'm pumped.

I'm psyched for these books. We are getting more Trek from some of our favorite authors. That cannot be bad in any way at all.

The awesomeness meter just hit the redline. :)

It was sort of inferred that DRGIII may be doing something with the Cardassians in the post-Destiny era. That came about in the reaction thread to Rough Beasts of Empire.

And I for one like the current Ent-E crew.

Oh, I so, so hope that's the case!

Cardassians and DRG III: a winning combination, no doubt!

:cardie::cardie::cardie::techman:

To be fair, I got into a tangential analysis of what the Cardassians mean in a Typhon Pact world and DRG started getting coy, the kind of coy authors get when they have an idea but won't spill the beans.

It would be awesome and makes sense given the author and topic, but I could be completely wrong.

I sure hope DRG will do a post Destiny novel with the Cardassians .It would be great to see what's been happening on Cardassia and see Garak in a novel again.

This is great news. I love both DRGIII and Mack. sign me up for all six :techman:

...now all we need is confirmation that Kirsten will be writing another two or three VOY-R books...

^ Yep. That and something by Christopher (anything, really) on next year's schedule, and I'm set.

Me to. Although I'd add anything by KRAD (preferably something Klingon related but that's not an absolute) onto that list.

Indeed. We haven't seen a Trek novel from KRAD since A Singular Destiny, which is entirely too long a time to go KRAD-less.

He needs to write a Klingon-Kinshaya novel (set in any time period, doesn't matter).

Not entirely KRAD-less, he did do the Unhappy Ones in Seven Deadly Sins.

Seriously good news all around.

Mack the D'k tahg! & DRG3 with multiple novels in the pipeline!

But yeah, when the heck can we get some more KRAD!

They gave Mack another trilogy?

Are they mad! Last time he wiped out 60+ Billion people....what the hell's he going to do this time?

;)
