^I'll just point that just because Dave is known for that kind of tale, that doesn't mean it's the only thing he's capable of.

Plus, even if the trilogy is going to be of that particular genre, it likely won't be out for a year and a half at minimum, at which point the Japan disaster will be pretty far in the past.

But for varieties sake, I hope he goes down another road.

"Waiting for G'Doh" was pretty enjoyable. Maybe we'll get a trilogy of people standing still.

One very memorable scene from SCE comes to mind featuring the one, the only, Vance Hawkins, super-spy!

I still crack up thinking about that.

That was one of the best scenes in Trek Lit EVER!

I also had the pleasure of reading that scene at a time in my life when I was dealing with some really serious and depressing stuff in a hospital waiting room...

Needless to say, I still remember the semi-confused looks of the morning desk nurses of the oncology ward's waiting area, when I burst out laughing for around 5 minutes straight.

The man can write humor.
