David Boreanaz admits to cheating

I've only read one interview with the guy (years ago), but he didn't come across well. He apparently never bothered to watch any of the episodes he filmed for Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel.

A lot of actors don't watch their own work. Much to the chagrin of fanboys, it's just a job to the actor.

Yup. Hell, I don't even use the software I write at work as an end-user. Should I?

I can totally understand actors not wanting to be exposed to their work while they're not working. I'm sure they'd like to have lives.

Exactly. I don't read my own books, except for research purposes. And I don't listen to them on audio.

And the one time I watched my interview on the WRATH OF KHAN dvd, I cringed every time I stammered or blinked too often. It's like listening to your own voice on an answering machine. It just feels wrong.

As for Boreanz, nobody is asking the big question: did he lose his soul when he had sex with that woman?

Trick question, Right? Because every man loses his soul when he has sex with a woman :shifty:

Why people think the personal lives of anyone is their business, I have no idea. Personal lives are personal, and just because someone's famous does not obligate them to be a perfect example of "morality" or fidelity.

The only exception to this rule is when the person in question is the type who likes to dictate "morality" to others or to hold himself up as the arbiter of right- and wrong-living, and then gets caught being a hypocrite about it. Like, say, legislators who vote against gay rights and then get caught hanging out gay clubs...

Heard he got Tiger's sloppy seconds and now in legal dispute with Gloria Alred, where's the real Wolfram & Hart when you need them, Gunn would have handled this in the court room no problem on addition up Lorne spinning the PR with the likes of Harvey Levin and Perez Hilton snd company, real demons in our modern, superficial society

Considering I never had any impressions good or bad of David Boreanaz as an actor, this has no effect on me.

I'll agree with this. Also, we don't know the whole story of why there was infidelity. There are two sides to the story, and we do not know details, so rushing to judgement is short sighted IMO. Is cheating wrong? Sure. But that doesn't mean he's automatically the scum of the Earth because he did so. I hope they work things out and get counseling myself.

Is this really the right place for celebrity gossip? Shouldn't this be in Misc or something?

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

Could've been worse, at least he wasn't cheating on his wife with Emily Deschanel.

I was kind of hoping that was the case to at least make the story interesting. This should provide a week or two of stories for People magazine and Inside Hollywood.

I expect there'd be a lot more cheaters if they had the means of celebrities, it's just a matter of a lot more opportunity than the average person. Not that that stops a lot of average people.

THIS. OH SO VERY MUCH THIS. :techman:

It's not surprising that he doesn't watch his own show. Hasn't he directed a few episodes too? Given the amount of time one spends working on a given show, the last thing you want to do is then spend your leisure time watching it. It
s a job for him, not entertainment.

Well... lest we forget that his character is over 200 years old and had sex with a 16 year old.

Why are rich men having sex with other women

Peter Gibbons: "What would you do if you had a million dollars?"
Lawrence: "I'll tell you what I'd do, man: two chicks at the same time, man. "
Peter Gibbons: "That's it? If you had a million dollars, you'd do two chicks at the same time?"
Lawrence: "Damn straight. I always wanted to do that, man. And I think if I were a millionaire I could hook that up, too; 'cause chicks dig dudes with money."

I just wanted to join the chorus of THIS.

My problem is, he only came out cause he was going to be outted by this women, otherwise, he would have never have admitted it. Pretty low.

Who cares about why he went public with it? If it weren't for this other woman and Gloria Allred trying to extort him, it would just be a private matter between him and his wife. It's his private life. He doesn't need to admit anything to the public.

Yeah, but vampire are allowed to do that, no matter how they are interpreted.

:shifty:

Speaking of which, why do eternally young characters (Twilight, Tuck Everlasting, etc.) always show romantic interest in immature teenagers? They may sort of look like them on the outside, but on the inside it is a 200-year-old lusting after a 16-year-old. Can't you at least find someone in her 20s?
