You missed the point of my post entirely. Having advanced degrees doesn't make anyone less prone to useless dramas. She either likes you enough to be in a good relationship or she tells you up front that there would be no future between you two. Keeping you hanging like that and indirectly treating you like an on-off'er isn't something you should tolerate.

Would it be so funny if it had been said about any other group of people? A racial or ethnic group? Gays? I doubt it a response would be considered a waste of time then.
