Oh, it was only for males. I'm 4'9", so it'd be difficult to find someone shorter for me to date.

My hubby is 6'5" and the wedding waltz probably looked comical.

I probably wouldn't be completely comfortable with the idea, seeing as when my girlfriend - she's 5'9', I'm 6' - wears heels I already feel like a dwarf even though we're the same height then!

No, since I'm 6'3" and quite frankly I'd probably be intimidated by a woman taller then me! I know, it's silly since I now us tall people are usually quite gentlehearted, but it's part of my big brother complex. I need the woman to be shorter then me so I can feel bit protective or something like that. Not in an overbearing, obsessive way, mind you. Plus you can have more fun with shorter girls
Us 5'4 and under women are awesome.
Indeed you are :D ;)

Also gotta add that I love that there are women here around that range that prefer tall guys :D

I have an idea that many "short" women (< 5" 4") prefer rather "tall" men (>5' 11"). So many women my height or slightly taller are married to guys a foot taller than them.

Let me tell you, me and Hubby dancing? Well, first off, we're swaying. He's too tall to reach for his shoulders--can't reach them anyway--so they go around his waist. Often under his jacket. Which means that, looking from behind him, it looks like Hubby is on the dance floor alone, swaying to the music.

And no cheek-to-cheek dancing!:( I'd really like that. We have more cheek-to-chest. And if he hugs me tight...well, my glasses get bent.

But the drawbacks are worth it.

Whenever we come to visit, she has hubby get things down from the cupboard for her.

See, as a somewhat tall-ish (5'10") man myself, it's sometimes exhausting dealing with all of the requests from short women to reach for things. As compensation, I then insist that they pick up things low to the ground for me.:p

There are only a few women that I know that are taller than me. All things being equal, I'd be willing to date them. But I think my relative shortness disqualifies me in their eyes. It certainly seems to disqualify a lot of other guys that they talk about.

I'd say my ideal woman is almost as tall as me but not quite. 5'8" is probably the target. But I've liked a lot of women much shorter than that. Women around 5'2" are incredibly sexy if they have it in the right places.

Ultimately, I think height is less important than overall size, both vertically & horizontally. I'm unable to feel dominant with a woman who is bigger than me. I'm perfectly happy with a more physically submissive stance but the women I know don't like that.

I'm about 5'4" and i dated two men my height or just a bit shorter than me. They were incredibly sexy and i loved being face to face with them, rather than having to look up and get a crick in my neck all the time!

I dated a girl in college who, when she wore heels, was slightly taller than I am. I found it to be very hot, especially with the kinds of shoes she wore.. But that's just me.. :)

.... And so the question is: if you're male would you date someone taller than you?

Height is irrelevant imo.... however, I haven't been with someone taller them myself, since I'm 6'6" or so in height, not too many women come in that height

Okay the cheek to cheek dancing this is a pretty valid point, but it's honestly been a looooong time since I was as tall as the girls around me. I think I was ten or so.

They're not dating -- this is just to celebrities being photographed together at the same event -- but good lord, how short is Rob Schneider?!?! And is there still a stigma regarding short men and taller women?

If you're that tall, then, no offense, but... how informed is your opinion, exactly? :)

Rob Schneider is reported as 5'7" by IMDB, but I dunno how accurate it is. Maybe she's just very tall.

There is definitively some stigma about short men. Just like most men appreciate ladies with a blooming bosom or a roundish derrière, most women prefer taller men: it's a matter of simple biology, so there is no reason to argue against it. However, even with my diminutive height, I had very few problems due to it: sure, you don't stand out in a crowd and girls are less likely to notice you, but as soon as you personally meet someone, it becomes less important than, say, an amiable personality or simply good manners. ;)

^ Well according to IMDB, Emmy Rossum is 5'8", so Schneider is probably shorter than Michael J. Fox.
