Data's Love Life - or, I have way too much time on my hands

I must be really bored to be posting this, but here we are...LOL

So in TNG, Data and Tasha Yar are..."intimate"....in the Season 1 episode "The Naked Now". We know this has a big effect on him, emotions or not, but regardless, let's fast forward to the movie Star Trek First Contact, where Data claims he hasn't been intimate with someone in, and I quote, "8 years, 7 months, 6 days, 5 minutes, 42 seconds".

Here's where things get interesting. I did a mathematical test using a trusted Stardate Calculator that places "The Naked Now" on March 17, 2364, using the captain's log from the episode as reference. I then took the captain's log from the opening of First Contact and fed it into the same Stardate Calculator, which place the events of that film (at least in the 24th century) on November 23rd, 2373.

I did the math. "The Naked Now" was, in fact, 9 years, 8 months, 6 days, 12 hours, 34 minutes, and 7 seconds prior to First Contact.

Real world, it's obvious that the writers hadn't nailed down the exact math or timelines for the Stardates for each series and movie. But my big question is, what if Data was telling the truth, and there was (you might wanna sit down for this) a SECOND person he was intimate with, other than Yar!?

If such a pairing took place, it would definitely be in season 2. Having done the math, it would specifically be on Stardate 42290.7 (or April 17, 2365 on our calendar). That's two days after "Elementary, Dear Data". But that just gives us the when. Now comes the fun part.

What do you think were the circumstances of Data's last fling prior to First Contact? Who was the lucky person? Was it just a writer's flub and nothing more? Am I just reading way too much into this? Am I crazy? Is all of the above true? Let me know what you think!

I tried to do some math between the airdates to see if that came up with anything.

The Naked Now aired 5th October 1987. First Contact debuted 22nd November 1996.
The total time between 05 October 1987 and 22 November 1996 is 9 years, 1 month, and 17 days.
I thought maybe if you add the time Data states in First Contact onto the airdate of The Naked Now you might get something interesting, say the date a draft was handed in or something.
The date 8 years, 7 months, and 6 days after October 5, 1987 is May 11, 1996.

According to Memory Alpha
  • 8 January 1996 – Second draft script, titled Star Trek: Resurrection
  • 12 March 1996 – Third draft script, titled Star Trek: Borg
I think Ron and Brannon were just guestimating and it was always Tasha, because there's the callbacks about being fully functional and programmed in multiple techniques.

I think he was also 'intimate' with Jenna D'Sora in In Theory.
I'm not entirely certain he was. That whole thing was a mess. He didn't know wtf he was doing & she didn't know wtf she wanted. At best, I feel like they were just cosplaying a relationship, because she just liked "has boyfriend" status, & he really didn't know any better

Anyways... Maybe Selar, during some Pon Farr business?

You can't forget that Data has an active hobby of practicing Human.. Behaviors. He's probably spent time filling the holodeck **** filters himself.

The difference may be because of the difference between when the scene was filmed, and when FC was released to theaters.
