Is it just me, or is data's lab a redress of the TOS movie set bridge? The railings around the outside are a dead give away to me.

I'm not sure, but I think it's a redress of the Enterprise-D battle bridge which in itself is a redress of the Phase II/TMP bridge, IIRC.

Speaking of the battle bridge - does anyone have a list of all the episodes in which it appeared? Off the top of my head, I can only think of Encounter at Farpoint. And there was that one episode where the saucer separated - did we see it there?

I wonder if anybody on the senior staff got to use the battle bridge as an office (or entertainment center). It seems like a major waste of space.

It's an interesting idea, but based on the square footage of available space on a Galaxy-class starship, they had enormous room to spare, not to mention regulations on battle bridge use. I suspect that it was most often left vacant.
