Data; What a Party Guest!

Mansa40

Lieutenant Junior Grade
Red Shirt
Lots of peeps like Data because he was so smart and skilled and so forth. But I like him for another reason.

His brash, blunt and inapropriate Party Conversation!

Say whay you will but he would be great at a party.

Agreed. Actually, in most social events, Data - who complained about not understanding human behavior - was usually at the center of attention, and quite successful, socially.

He's one of the best things about "Haven" - "Excuse me, would you please continue the petty bickering? I find it fascinating!"

Even better was his rescue of Picard from Lwaxana's voraciousness in "Manhunt." :guffaw:

Data would be an endless source of party fun.

1) Jokes delivered in strange, endearing ways
2) Attempts to hit on women hilarious and odd
3) Beat ur ayss at poker (or any other game)
4) Could act out a scene (complete with voices) from any play, by request

In fact, the only one who might be better at a party (if he could improve his sense of whimsy) would be Odo from DS9. Data can't shapeshift!

^True that. Though like Odo, who can perfectly emulate a bird with a complex feathering scheme and yet can't emulate human ears, Data can absorb more information in an hour than most could in a lifetime, yet he cannot quite grasp the concept of humor. ;) Us rascally humans and our irritatingly superior quirks! :bolian:

Data was awesome. He would be great at parties, becuase there would always be someone talking. He is so inquisitive.
"Data can you explain the complexeities of dimensional shifts?"
"There is a vast amount of information on that topic. Firstly......"

Could you imagine how he would react to drunken party games? I have just watched Starship Mine and Data was at a reception party and wanted to larn small chat with hilarious effects, now that's what I call a party guest!
