Data and the Ditz [TNG In Theory]

There have been a few "love episodes" in TNG involving the Enterprise crew. Few have been successfully written. The episode where Picard gets together with the head of Stellar Cartography comes to mind as does Inner Light.

My question is...why in heaven did they match Data with a total Ditz? [In Theory]

It would help if you explained exactly who you’re talking about and what evidence you have that said person was a ‘ditz.’

Jenna D'Sora? She was most definitely not a ditz.

She was on the rebound, true. That's why she latched onto Data. But that's it.

Yeah, I don't know how you get ditz from Jenna. Maybe this is a terminology thing and we think different things when it comes to the word ditz?
