Daredevil season 3 Marvel/Netflix

*shrugs* Hopefully it's good, but for me Daredevil ended after the first four episodes of Season 2. It's been more than worth it for Jessica Jones: Season 1 and the first 17 episodes of Daredevil, but yeah. Marvel Netflix really needs to get its shit together, in my opinion. I have some hope. If Agents of SHIELD could finally get its shit together for the terrific Seasons 4-5 anything is possible, I guess.

Shit's about to get really bad for Matt.
I like Matt and I like Daredevil but this trope of constantly beating him down is getting tiresome. I thought that The Defenders did a good job of making the fight very personal for him and involving Elektra, but the guy has suffered again and again. :weep:

Fair reaction. That said, season 3 is based on one of Daredevil's most famous stories, "Born Again."

it's become sort of a running gag with Daredevil writers of the last couple of years (with the exception of Mark Waid*) to always leave Matt in a deeper pit of despair than the previous writer, and then let the new writer dig Matt out of the hole only to tear him down even more again.

*And Mark Waid's run has been the most entertaining Daredevil running recent years. Go figure.

I love the look on Vincent D'Onofrio's face after the newscaster reveals "Daredevil" is behind a vicious attack. It's wonderfully reminiscent of Leonard "Gomer Pyle" Lawrence. :D

Wow great trailer. Did we see D'Onofrio in the white suit at all in Season 1, or is that new?
Is the fake Daredevil Bullseye? That was my first thought when he caught Matt's stick.

That one featured a character that is dead in the Netflix-verse, but could easily be subbed out...
It also featured a plotline with Captain America... I would be over the dang moon if they managed to get Chris Evans to do a featured guest role...

I had to look that one up. The only Gomer Pyle I knew of was Jim Nabors.
Stop what you're doing and watch Full Metal Jacket now. :p

Well, I'm sure there will be plenty of changes. I imagine they took the main basis, i.e. Kingpin's personal war against Daredevil, and made it their own.

Also, Netflix has finally confirmed that Wilson Bethel is portraying Bullseye.

Great trailer. Like really great.
Like maybe even my favorite Netflix Marvel trailer ever.

Have you read the last 500 issues of Daredevil?

A much closer look at Bullseye:

I don't know how closely this jives with the character's backstory in the comics (and I know that it's changed a few times), but it looks pretty good here.

I don't know the comics but it seems to hit similar notes to the usage of Punisher. Granted it's like a minute long so...

Dramatization with moving pictures, sound and music can create indelible impressions, far more powerful than mere words. I've never forgotten season one Daredevil, whose superhearing makes him an infallible lie detector because he can hear the heartbeat race when the perpetrator lies (and it's always a perpetrator.) Seeing on my TV set how the heroic Daredevil nevertheless tortured a perp instead of relying on his lie detector sense really brought that to life. Fortunately we know that lying may make the heart race but fear and pain don't. I've always felt this scene really brought home what Daredevil was all about. It's why I've spent so much of my time watching and re-watching both seasons. The previews indicate more of the same, so I guess I'll be sitting in front of my set just like for season two.

I don't' know. I managed to enjoy Seasons One for both "Luke Cage" and "Iron Fist" more than I did Season One for "Jessica Jones" and the two seasons of "Daredevil". I've just started with "The Defenders".

Also, I cannot honestly say that "Daredevil" ended for me after Season Two's first four episodes. I don't think the story arcs for both Elektra Natchios and Frank Castle were well handled near the end. But I really enjoyed both characters. I liked them more than I did Matt, Karen or Foggy.
