Damar is coming to General Hospital

Story

Not sure what day he'll appear.
He hasn't turned up yet. I predict fairly soon, though. One of the lead characters, Carly Corinthos, escaped from Ferncliff (to stop her son's wedding to the woman who engineered her incarceration at Ferncliff by falsely accusing Carly of pushing her down a flight of stairs and trying to kill her), and it wouldn't surprise me if Carly's regular doctor were removed from her case because he prescribed a sedative that Carly used to inject the nurse, enabling her to escape.

So this guy might be Carly's new doctor. Or he might be a consultant, or maybe assigned to the mysterious patient in the cell next to Carly (who's been tapping mysterious messages on the wall in Morse code).

Soap operas never do anything small, do they?

She makes nurse Ratched (Louise Fletcher from DS9) look nice in comparison.

Yeah, I figured we might see the new doc after Carly goes back in.

Other General Hospital spoilers say a new doctor’s set to debut. Ferncliff needed an extra staff member, so GH went on the hunt for Dr. Lasaris. Casey Biggs has been cast as this mysterious doc, so it should be interesting to find out what he’s all about.

Dr. Lasaris could be connected to the unknown patient next to Carly (Laura Wright). The name “Lasaris” is reminiscent of Lazarus, a biblical figure who rose from the dead. Perhaps Dr. Lasaris is a bit of a miracle man. It’s possible someone GH killed off is back thanks to Dr. Lasaris’ top-secret work.

Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) still seems to be the frontrunner in this mystery. If he’s on the other side of that wall, his twin brother may have taken over his life. It wouldn’t be the first time Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) impersonated Kevin and wreaked havoc. Ryan was supposedly dead, so Dr. Lasaris could be responsible for this stunning comeback.

It would make sense, since Mary-Pat would accuse Dr. Collins of being in cahoots with Carly's escape.

Any guesses as to the identity of the patient next door? My #1 guess is that it's a recast Morgan - new face, which is why Dr. Collins wouldn't have recognized him. And of course if any of those Morse code messages confirms this, everyone would think she's completely lost it for real.

Second guess - a recast Nikolas Cassadine. For maximum drama it would need to be someone with a connection to Carly.

One theory is that it's Kevin in the room next door and Ryan has been posing as Kevin. It's a soap, so it could be absolutely anybody.

I wasn't watching the show when Ryan was a character. He's basically Kevin's evil twin or evil identical cousin, right?

My money is on Morgan. Carly's current arc is all about Morgan. The character had had more mentions recently than he did when he was alive. ;)

Not to mention that the last actor who played him said in a recent interview that he was not coming back to play Morgan (no hints as to whether Morgan's still alive, of course). I consider that a good thing, because he always made Morgan seem more than a little stupid.

GH is still on?

What happened to Luke and Laura?
Anthony Geary retired from acting, so they wrote Luke out of the show. He and Tracy are traveling the world, probably getting into all kinds of scrapes we won't ever hear about unless Jane Elliot decides to come back.

No idea why they wrote Laura out. She had just married Kevin Collins, was running for mayor of Port Charles, and then her whole storyline came to a crashing halt because Spencer (her grandson who is attending boarding school in Europe) broke both legs in a skiing accident and she dropped everything to go take care of him.

Then Luke finally went insane? :guffaw:
He and "Spanky" had a rather fun marriage when he wasn't robbing her bank accounts. I lost track of how many times they were actually married... one wasn't legal since the officiant was a fake.
