CW Looking to Add New Arrowverse Series in 2020

Is the CW in a standard cable package or a channel the people pay extra for? (not a premium channel such as HBO but still not a freebie).
It's a standard over the air channel. At one point we looked into just getting an antenna, but we live in an apartment and they didn't want an exterior antenna and DVR was an issue.

It's a broadcast network like its predecessors The WB and UPN, so it's usually on basic cable.

It's usually a local channel in a majority of markets (meaning no, the Cable/Satellite providers don't charge extra - and hell if you have an HD anttena you can watch it free and clear off the air.)

Plus, online, if you go to the CW website - you can stream and watch the episodes 100% for free the day after they air (at least in the U.S.)

The actor who plays adult JJ in the 2040 storyline is going to be in the Green Arrow and The Canaries backdoor pilot. Nforot sure what this means for the time period of the show, so far we've only seen him in the future, but he was with Mia when she was pulled back to the present. Then there's always the chance Mia's show could follow in her father's footsteps and do flashbacks..... oh wait, they'll be going into the future, so would that be flashforwards... but it's Mia's past... so... flashbackfors?

Production on the Superman & Lois Lane pilot seems to be ramping up with casting calls going out.

Could these be for classmates of Jon's? Does this mean 'baby' Jon ages or is this show going to be set in the future like the Canaries, albeit a few years closer to our time?
Yeah, I asked @Neroon to reopen the "temporarily" closed Superman & Lois thread so I could post this news, but he hasn't yet responded.

There's a lot of speculation online that these two characters are (an aged-up) Jon Kent and Damian Wayne, since their pairing as the "Super Sons" was very much a thing in the comics. Personally, I think the first description is almost certainly Jon, but I'm more skeptical about the Damian thing.

Sorry for a relatively old thread. But Google just posted this "news" on Katie Cassidy reacting to the show not being picked up.
This quote was especially interesting

No. I say this in the most respectful, kind, realistic way…we really, really milked that cow. Like, c'mon. You evolve, you grow, you…I love learning and I love acting, but also, I started in features and I'm stepping back into [them]. I'm directing this movie with Marina Studios that I'm also producing called Daddy issues. I'm writing and tapping into this creative side of me that I've never had time to because I've been acting. I've loved acting my whole life, but I want to grow.

It's not that I wouldn't have loved for the show to go [ahead] because I loved working with everyone, but let's do something different!

As Cassidy pointed out herself, the superhero genre has been extremely prevalent in all types of media for the past decade. Not only has the Arrowverse been extremely popular over the years, but the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been increasing in popularity alongside it as well. Many reports from fellow actors, directors and even audiences from recent times have commented on this issue, wishing to move on to another topic within today's media. The Arrowverse has also drastically grown since Arrow came on the air, with The CW currently working on several shows set in the universe.

With this recent information from Cassidy herself, it seems that Green Arrow and the Canaries may not have had much of a chance moving forward on the network after all, on top of the pandemic. Furthermore, while she's finished with the Arrowverse, it's clear that the actress' career is far from over with her various upcoming, impressive projects. With this cancellation on top of other recent shows in the Arrowverse, could it be that Arrow's legacy is coming to an end?

I wasn't enthralled with her as an actress, but appreciate her viewpoint and wish her well especially on a directing career. Can anyone point to an episode where they thought she did a good job. I often do NOT pay attention to the director, so I would genuinely like to see her work.
