I'm in a position where I'll have seen Parts 1 and 3 of CoIE in full before getting to see Part 2 in full (since I'll have had to finish it after watching P3 and Crisis Aftermath).
Well, Ollie already had the green hood thing goin' on.but it’s the wrong “Green” superhero to become the the said spirit.
I get what you're saying...but a couple things would beThe Flash
Season 6 - Episode 9 - "Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Three"
Flash/Iris: The constant teasing that one or both were threatened with permanent death was tiresome because from the jump, this crossover was not going to be as bold as the comic series, making 90's Flash's death a ho-hum affair. He simply lacked the weight of the main Flash if he was the one to die.
Well, it looks like Black Lightning was added in last minute... cause it would have been more logical to have him be a paragon. I'll take it for now. Also, don't forget the quick connection with Diggle. Should we have a merged Earth, i REALLY want to see Jefferson hang out with Joe West and connect on a variety of levels.Black Lightning: "You should have saved my family! Not me! Not me!" Cress Williams maintained the strength of his character and was not swept up as just another costume in this crossover...at least early on. The "heart to heart" with Flash was forced; anyone dealing with raw, recent tragedy (Jefferson) goes through several phases, and sharing / inspirational "let's take that mountain" type moments are rarely--if ever--one of them.
Well, speaking of forced... this was a way to have Ollie fulfill the SPectre role in the comics, without adding yet another character to getto know.Oliver: He's back, but he's not back. With Spectre being his guide, it almost seals his return as temporary, just sticking around long enough to aid in the restoration (up to a point) of the earths. If he ends up wandering the afterlife--but is content doing it--that would be a satisfactory send-off.
Batwoman was in Elseworlds. Didn't she learn of its power (and problems) then?SG/BW: Batwoman carrying Wayne's Kryptonite device was a painfully obvious false tease, as there was no way she would use against Supergirl. Unfortunately, Batwoman was not served well in the crossover so far--she was reduced to a bit player who scowls and not much more. Further, she would have no knowledge of the true potential of the Book of Destiny; even Lex's deliberately brief explanation was not enough to for BW to be so convinced Supergirl would risk anything by using it.
So a ripped page of the book still has power? Weird... and what role could he possibly play against the anti-Monitor now??Lex: At least he's not written off as a sniveling coward in the corner. He always has another card to play, and with the Book, he should not feel he has to kowtow to any of the others, which brings this back to who is going to stop him...let me guess....
I would definitley give it at least a B. Better than the previous 2 episodes.NOTES: So things wrap up mid January.
GRADE: C.
I realized that all the destroyed Earth's were coming back right in the very first scene. The implication, to me anyway, was that Earth 9/DC streaming service Earth was destroyed while Dick Grayson was still Robin. As he has already moved on to the Nightwing identity, his Earth must be restored.Yeah, them destroying all the Earths knowing that they are coming back sort of takes away the dire straits from the story. They should have only destroyed a few, and keep them dead.
What did you base your assumption on? We only saw Hawk and Jason Todd. The implication, to me anyway, was that Earth 9/DC streaming service Earth was destroyed while Dick Grayson was still Robin. As he has already moved on to the Nightwing identity, his Earth must be restored.
Speaking of which, Nightwing should have been one of the heroes they saved. He would have been a fun one to have interact with the heroes. What did you base your assumption on? We only saw Hawk and Jason Todd.
Ha! OK, I actually haven't seen Titans yet and assumed it was Dick Grayson. Still, I definitely got the impression that that world was destroyed by the anti-matter wave, which it obviously won't be moving forward. What did you base your assumption on? We only saw Hawk and Jason Todd.
Considering Cryer is a massive fan and demanded to be in the Crisis, I expect so.I hope they incorporate Cryer's Luthor into the new Lois and Superman show.
