Crew Complement of Starships in Discovery

So far we have no reason to think anything about DSC would overwrite anything about the preceding Trek. We didn't have such reason with TAS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT or the movies other than Abrams ones, with their likewise copious cross-referencing. We don't call those spinoffs reboots, even though all of them redid the "look" side of Trek.

If anything, DSC goes to odd depths to avoid rebooting anything - its choice of era, milieu, heroes and villains plays it safe in this respect. And the argument for rebooting? "They changed the Klingon look"...
Did you see that 'D7'? If D7 can go from being a battle cruiser with a long neck and crew of 400 to being a completely different looking ship with a crew of 40, this sort of comparison is pointless. With this amount of change the Disco version of Constitution class may well be a pretzel-shaped ship with a crew of 4000.

Does it make sense that a crew of 130-160 would have a full Captain and at least three (Lt) Commanders at launch?

If not, is it likely due to the complexities of the mission or other factors? For instance, in surface warfare that would a LTCDR's billet with LTs as Senior Officers, what about the top 3-5 on an Ohio-class SSBN?

Really? Then tell me what does the prime universe Klingon D7 cruiser look like and what is it's crew complement?

It looks like whatever it needs to be to fit the shows vision.

I don't like the design in DSC, I hate it, but it is what we got.

So basically anything can look like anything, be any size, have any size of crew or generally have any qualities whatsover. In this point it being 'prime' means nothing.

Remember, Mudd specifically referred to it as a prison ship, it might not have the typical crew compliment of the class.

It means they can't go killing Kirk, they can't blow up Qo'noS, they have to get rid of the spore drive before the end of the series.

So far, outside of visuals, they have not created any major continuity errors.
