Creator of the Big Mac dies at 98

I love the irony of the guy who created one of the famous of all junk foods died at a pretty old age. I don't say that as an insult or anything, but it's just the perfect definition of Ironic.

RIP to the guy who had a major impact on everyone's lives.

Inventing =/=eating

our local MD's ruins Big Macs. I refuse to buy them. dry, burnt, with dead lettuce, and a dime of sauce. No thanks.

I had a large Big Mac menu in his honor a few days ago.

Felt kind of cheated since it didn't come with a Monopoly sticker/code.

This is why I'll outlive you all. I love Big Macs, enough so that my system can now take anything I throw at it.

Hell, I ate the GRAND MAC on Saturday. That's a Big Mac upscaled to Double Quarter Pounder size patties. It is the K'Vort Class Cruiser of burgers.

I empathize. Our local McDonalds ruins almost everything. If I drive another 6 miles up the road, though, and into the next town, they have a terrific McDonalds.

I've been spoiled by Tim Hortons (both coffee and food). Hard to go back to McD's after that!

Which is kind of ironic given the fact that Timmie's is now owned by BK, and in turn owned by a Brazilian company. Quality has really declined over the years and is more or less on the same level as McD's now. But on the other hand, McD's does have the better coffee ;)

Is the Grand Mac an actual thing, like secret menu stuff? Can you go to a McD and order it and they will know?

At that point, I'd just order a double quarter pounder. I don't normally like the lettuce & tomato, but once in a while, what the hell.

I kind of like the sauce. But they shred the lettuce and stack it up and it just falls out of the bun and goes everywhere. I have to eat a Big Mac shirtless to avoid stains.

No shirt, no shoes, no service :hugegrin:

The Big Mac I had last week was a little short on the sauce, but was still good overall.
