So, I'm doing a printing of my first three Taron & Winúŋna stories to hand out to family and friends this Christmas (though, thanks to the lockdown, most friends will only get it after Christmas). And for this, I did some pencil illustrations, as well as a map of Uropeas. Enjoy:

I've decided to stick to the fantasy stuff with my story, getting rid of it.
I've decided to make some more changes to the prologue. Originally I wasn't going to refer to any of the characters by name, so you wouldn't know who they are until later in the story, but that was honestly starting to get kind of annoying. I also decided to keep going past where I had originally ended, and since you'll be spending more time with them, I think it'll work better if they have names and identities.
EDIT: I managed to get some writing done, so I was able to make the changes and additions. I think I should only need a one or two more writing sessions before I'm done with the prologue. Then I'll move on to cleaning up and making some changes to the first chapter.

I've finally finished the translation of my third Taron & Winúŋna story. Hope you like it, and I'd appreciate feedback.

I keep meaning to get back to my writing, but I still haven't.
I don't think I mentioned in my last post that I decided to restructure things a bit. I had a couple flashback scenes that I'm going adjust and move into the present, and the flashbacks will now be even farther in the past.
The prologue follows a different group of characters and after finishing the longer prologue, I decided I wanted to keep following those characters. so their story will be expanded on through flashbacks throughout the book. I had always wanted to do flashbacks, ala shows like Lost, and originally they were going to follow the present day main characters' backstories.
The characters in the prologue are parents of the characters in the main body, and both stories have the same villain. A lot of the ideas for that stuff have been part of this since I first came up with it, but now we're going to experience it as it happens, rather than it just being revealed through dialogue and exposition.
I was having trouble coming up with enough stuff when it was going to explore the present day character's backstories, but now with it following the parents, I have more story to explore.

Something started last night and finished this morning,.. I put water based markers on watercolor paper and then brushed the marks the markers made with water blending the colors into to each other,.. it dried last night and just before I added the pen on top of the colors.

Gave up on changing my story to a post apocalyptic kind of thing, it was just opening up way to many plot holes and little question I couldn't come up with answers for. So I went back to my original idea, which was to have the story jump between modern day LA, and a fantasy world.

these poems obviously from 2016-- but about that time was starting to establish the end of the suicidal Idealizations and attempts for about 50 years of my life. since about 2015 and beyond these suicidal thoughts have lessoned till now my focus is self care and self love being gentle and kind to myself and with myself... so these poems might reflect the notions of ending the negativity in thoughts and attitude and when it was starting and continuing in my life.---

Ode to my long hair. You were 30 inches long. We have been together a long time. About 2 1/2 years. We have shared many fun moments together. I could really relate to that poor girl in the movie Tangled. I recall these happy times: The time we were Princess Leia for Halloween. The long braids that turned into very nice waves the next day. The way you kept my neck warm in winter. The way everyone said you were so pretty. Over 50 years and so few grey hairs it looks like I had none. The shine of your red/light brown color. The easy way to style you just with a pony tail. I also recall the frustrating times: When I was in a wheel chair you got caught in the wheels. When I needed crutches you got under my arm and I almost fell. All the times I tried to put you in a bun and you would not stay. All the times you were in my way when I did anything, yardwork was very frustrating! It took 30 minutes to brush you out after the shower. You were always so tangled up. I will remember you most at bedtime when I had to flip you up over my head to sleep or I would get caught in you in my sleep! I could write a whole book of the trials of super long hair. Well, now I send you off to a better place and a better life. I gave you up my long tail. You will go to be someone else's hair now. Hope you will be very happy together many adventures!

the fresh starts is a series of 4 fresh starts with various songs for each section... there- and midi files as well--- I have my laptop next to the synthesizer in the video and it is recording the knob turns in a midi file. I can play back thru the synth - while in different presets on the keyboard synth.

This is the first figure acrylic I've worked up the nerve to do. I took a picture of the sketch in case I mess it up when I put the paint on.

Just finished up the first chapter of my story. I have to admit, now that I'm really getting into the story I'm having fun. I definitely want to try and do more writing on a regular basis.
