I was looking somethings up tonight about Cowboy Bebop when I caught a little bit of a nugget at the end of the Wikipedia article on the show. Apparently there IS going to be a live action show and that 20th century fox signed off on it this summer. Apparently Keanu Reeves is rumored for the part of Spike.

Hmm, I knew about both of those as well. So we'll get a bunch of live action animes soon.
This brings up a point. What are they going to be adapting? Are they going to come up with a new storyline or are they going to go ahead and work in the show? Or are they going to go off on some other tangent?
And how the hell do you cast Ed???

Following Akira and Ghost in the Shell announcements, apparently Cowboy Bebop is in for a live-action adaptation as well. IF Magazine talked with veteran producer Erwin Stoff (via AICN) and discovered that he's working on making a live-action Cowboy Bebop movie with Fox.

nfortunately both Dragonball and this adaptation are at Fox, which isn't a good sign so far, but maybe they'll find a good director. However, I'm enjoying Hollywood's anime trend and am anxious to see what they're going to do with Cowboy Bebop.
