"Covenant"-exciting episode

I just watched "Covenant" on my second "DS9 Relaunch" since I managed to get all the seasons on DVD and it's both exciting and a bit scary.

Sort of "Dukat goes Jonestown" but don't want to exterminate himself.

The personal cult that Dukat have created about himself among the Bajorans at the station was both appropriate and a bit funny, at least if one have my twisted sense of humor. ;)

Opinions, please.

With all due respect, I find it difficult to summon any love for this episode. Granted, Dukat being the anti-Sisko who will be the emissary for the Pahwraiths is more original that most people think, but I find the plot unbelievable and unnecessary. Moreover, this type of episode grew old. O'Brien must suffer was replaced with Kira must suffer ... at the hands of Dukat!

I'll show myself out. Go at it.

For me, this episode was part of the transition where I felt like the show was getting sillier & sillier with its plotlines and trying to stretch certain characters to unbelievable lengths. It's part of why I took a break from DS9 when it originally aired. Although I don't mind the Pah-Wraith concept, it was executed in a silly way that sometimes felt like it was from Ghostbusters.

I'm just glad we were finally to the point where you could do a little CG alteration for make-up purposes so that Dukat's baby didn't just have a tiny piece of foam held in place with glycerin, like the Jem'Hadar baby in The Abandoned. :)
