On the subject of Tom Riker, the episode Second Chances could have solved a whole lot of problems if they had gone through with the switch. Will should have seen that he's been spinning his wheels as first officer and finally accepted a command, move Data up to XO and let Thomas start earning his way back up at OPS. Also, let Thomas and Deanna have the relationship they should have had far sooner and we could still see Will as a "special guest star" every now and then.

Yep..I think they should have done exactly that...but by that time I think Paramount told Berman to just coast until the movies, and not change anything until that time...

I'm not too sure on that. It might have been a better, more established name. But I can't imagine a Connery Sybock having as much energy and passion in the voice.

^^ Quite true. Connery had the name recognition but, honestly, I don't know if he would have turned in as effective a performance as Luckinbill did. Say what you like about the story, but I think he turned in a fine performance and was very effective in the role.

I wish that VOY would have done the episode Origin of the Species, which told of the Borg's beginings. Search it out if you haven't read it. With very few changes it would've made an excellent episode.

That's true. The then-future Sultan of Schmaltz & Master of Mr.Goodbars was indeed the intended portrayer of chrononaut baddy Rasmussen.

His Irritance shoud've played duplicitous Rasmussen, given the sappy marathon of violin-flix RW chose to do after that.

Now, I'd say B&B should only hire RW for ST under the condition his chatacter is shown buying the farm on screen.
It'd be great to see RW blow up real good

My pick would be when people were saying Linda Hamilton was going to play the captain on Voyager. Would have changed the whole tenor of the show, I think, and for a good bit better.

Joanna Cassidy was the candidate I hoped for. Then again, it could also be thought Janeway was a bullet that she is grateful missed her.

Plenty o' energyNpassion. But I still think Von Sydow or Brandauer would have been great choices for Sybok too, but I guess they also cost too much.

The worst part of all this is it looks like Robin Williams is more likely the ROBIN Mr. Spock is a direct descendant of rather than Burt Ward's Robin of BATMAN, despite all the “evidence” falsely verifying Amanda Grayson, Spock's ma, as being Dick Grayson's direct descendant.

The now-debunked “proof” was the Grayson Factor & the Gotham Bats baseball team.

I think LUCKINGBILL was better than Sydow...personally, I think SYDOW has been in more stupid scifi/fantasy movies than he has been in good ones. Overated actor IMO...a poor man's Christopher Plummer
