If you were interested in Russian cinema, both old and new, I could help you - I collect Russian cinema, in fact. But TV? I got nuttin'.

Frankly, when I lived in Moscow (which admittedly, was a long time ago...but still...) there was nothing on Russian TV worth watching! And I spoke Russian.

I'm a big Sherlock Holmes fan, and the Russians produced one of the better screen adaptations of the character, with Vasily Livanov in the role.

There are very few Russian movies or TV series from the last 25 or so years (basically, since perestroika started) that are worth your time. Now all that Russians are making for TV are the Russian versions of American series, and those mostly range from awful to truly unwatchable. Cinema is slightly better, but not by much.
