Could Earth have offered resistance to a Dominion occupation?

It is pretty funny. Although there was that (really bad) battle for betazoid novel where Lwaxana actually runs an underground resistance cell hiding away in the mountains.
Yeah...the less said about that the better.
Not that I don't think that Lwaxana can't stand up to the dominion. I just don't think she'd be the "mud and explosives" kind of freedom fighter who crawls around underground tunnels with a weapon in her hand.

The last couple seconds were just *perfect.*

Unfortunately, the title of the gif lead me to believe there would actually be sound

The whole "fall of Betazed" thing was pretty dumb, IMO. What bothered me the most is when Sisko says that Betazed's defenses are "old and obsolete." Wait, what? The whole Alpha Quadrant is one great galactic battleground right now, and a planet of the Federation is allowed to have old and obsolete defenses? Talk about an epic fail of leadership, both from Starfleet and from Betazed itself.
