News Corgi Announce New Star Trek Die-Cast Models

Even if they do eventually get sold here in North America, I also wouldn't get any hopes up about them being cheap: much like the Transit Collection Corgi made years ago (replicas of famous public transit vehicles from North America, primarily the GM 'New Look' bus and the PCC streetcar, with several of them done in different liveries of different transit agencies), they'll probably be quite expensive.

However, if you want to get these replicas when they come out, here's the store to get them at.

I think it looks quite promising. The shape looks much better than Eaglemoss’s attempts. The paint job will be the deciding factor.

Does anyone have any suggestions for replacement bases for the Corgi Enterprise (TOS)?

I got one years ago at the Vegas Star Trek Experience and it had the Delta Base. Unfortunately this base broke and I'm not sure what to replace it with.
I tried TOS enterprise on the newer refit Enterprise Base and it fits fine, just need to know where I can find another base or something similar.

Thanks!

From what I can tell so far, the A has a lot less aztecing than the refit, and a more accurate light blue paint scheme around the deflector (hopefully on the neck section as well). The stripes on the undersides of the nacelle struts still seem to be too big.
I hope it still has the details on the underside of the secondary hull, which the refit model already had but I believe should only be on the A.

Pictures of an unpainted engineering sample for the Enterprise E model:

It's hard to be certain from these pictures, but I think the shape of the nacelle struts and their connection to the nacelles, the rear shuttlebay, and the height and shape of the deck with the airlocks aren't accurate. It reminds me of the Bandai model kit in many ways.

The paint jobs seem a bit overdone and harsh. Almost like Enterprise-B aztecking, instead of the more subtle shades used on the original E. I also think the recessed grid lines are way too large for that scale of model, but I guess for a mass-produced reasonably-priced product, it is about as good as you will get. To get something like the more accurate Tomy model, you would have to pay the more elevated Tomy price. It is what it is, I guess...

Yeah, that’s obviously not a fair comparison. The baseline is Eaglemoss, and Corgi models are pure die cast metal with excellent paint jobs for the price.

If it's just the usual white FC Enterprise-E, I'll give it a pass. Already got the Eaglemoss XL. If Corgi did the NEM grey however, I'm down for it.
